For some reason I wrote my EQG stories as taking place in Maryland probably to put RD in a sports market and to put myself in the story that way cause i picture Teh surrounding areas of CHS a few miles away the Atlantic coast is it wrong to do that, referencing the real world in EQG
What I mean by that is I.e. RD is a DC United fan (look it up) like I am a Rèal Salt Lake fan lol
Stuff like that I wonder if it's the best thing even rhough it puts my expiriences in te story more but I wthink beer if I should do that cause stories that use real world references get a lot of downvotes
5435558 Real world references are okay, but keep it to a minimum and make sure it fits with the storyline and personalities of the characters. Otherwise it'll look like a blatant self-insert poorly disguised with canon characters (even if it's not).
