It's a standard 16 barrel. The carbine length pic-rail makes it look longer. Doesn't help that my break is 3 inches long as well.

Dern optical illusions. Mine is a mid-length gas setup, on a 16" with a 'Nam era A1 3 prong(even though I almost always keep a 'Nam era M7 bayonet on it). Yay bayonet compatibility!
