Well, while I like the existing one, it fits the feel of the story to about the same degree. Plus, this one is of one of the most powerful scenes in the story.

I'd advise against it. Using the climax for the cover picture seems like a very bad idea, if only because of spoilers. Plus, as you noted, there's a definite tonal mismatch.

That being said, it is an awesome work of art.
