Thinking too much will make that episode like that similar "The Simpsons" "Treehouse of Horror" episode with the clones of Homer, where they eliminate the clones by luring them into a steep chasm while chasing a giant donut suspended by helicopter...only to discover the Homer at the end is one of the clones.
