Thread Title: Praeteritum Oblitus Sed Found Semel Iterum - A Past Forgotten, But Found Once Again

(I have a habit of translating the title into Latin on Google Translate, and then putting that translation first)^_^

Premise: The world the movie of Gen 5 takes place on is not Equis. Not the world that Equestria is on. Instead, it's a colony world.

Thanks to the knowledge she has access to through the mirror to the EQG world, Twilight vastly improves equisian civilization during the first few decades of her reign. And contact is officially opened with the EQG world. New portals are made. Ones that don't change the form of the one going through them. Humans become a common sight on Equis. And many equisian races become a common sight on the EQG world. Spaceships are built, and both worlds sends ships out to explore their universes. In time, colony worlds are then established.

One such world has three ships land... er, crash on it. One ship has earth ponies. Another has pegasus ponies. And the last one has unicorn ponies. Each ship's crew wanted to settle a world where only their tribe would be. Twilight had told each of them that if they wanted to be racist pricks, go do it on their own freaking planet.

So, three ships had left Equis. Each ship holding racist ponies who could not accept all the different species now living in Equestria. They couldn't even stand other pony tribes.

Unfortunately, those three ships crashed on the same planet due to an/a ion/magnetic storm. After a brief skirmish, the three tribes agreed to split the planet. And each settled in their own area. And would have nothing to do with the others.

Over time, they forgot their true origins. And believed they had evolved on this planet. Each tribe believing the others to be evil things.

After the events of the movie, Sunny Starscout sets out to find Canterlot. She finds the ruins of one of the colony ships instead. From it's old records she learns about the fact that their planet is a colony. ... Cue her freakout. She goes back, and tells everypony about what she has discovered. The reactions of the three tribes to learning that they are not originally from this planet are kinda mixed. Some accept it. Some deny it. Some go mad. ... Sunny suggest using the knowledge in the ship's database to build a new ship. And go look for Equis.

The ruined ship Sunny found was the pegasi ship. It's database has knowledge on how to build piloting controls that would use a pegasus pilot's magic to control the ship. There's a reason that Equestria considered pegasi to be the best pilots around.

The rest of the fic could be about Sunny's quest to find Equis. Their colony is "out in the distant backwoods". It'll take a bit of time to get to where Equis is. They'll eventually find it. A thriving member of a galactic civilization. The adventures they'll have getting there though. Those could take up a lot of chapters y'know.

Main characters: Hitch Trailblazer, Izzy Moonbow, Pipp Petals, Sunny Starscout, and Zipp Storm.

Genre: Adventure, Alternate Universe, Science Fiction. Possible More Tags: Crossover and Human. Depends on whether or not whoever writes this wants them to encounter species from other series. That includes humans. Up to author.

Collab?: No. More than one author, and it never gets finished.

Notes: Twilight is alive. So are her main friends. Possibly because they were all Element Bearers? Or the Rainbow Power they used to defeat Tirac connect them, and they're sharing in Twilight's Immortality. Or some other reason perhaps. Any reason is possible here. It's up to the author.
