Appleblooms cutiemark does have to do with apples, the cmcs new cutiemarks mean that they're good at helping other ponies see the light of their cutiemark, but the symbols on the marks show that the crusaders also have talents of their own, scootaloo is good at speed, sweetie belle is good at singing, and applebloom is good at apples.
