Hasbro has done it for Transformers and a few other titles. So it makes sense that they would want the mattle titles as it’s untouched potential. Plus Comics

I think one of the reasons Hasbro wants Mattel is some of Mattel superheroes. He-Man, Street Sharks, Max Steel, US-1, & Mighty Max.
And one of the other reasons is all of Mattel's girl toylines.

Well it's because of the fact Hasbro is trying to make it's own shared movie universe, it would make sense for them to try and get more superheroes. the only superheroes Hasbro have would be Rom, Bulletman, & Stretch Armstrong.
