I was a bit of a spy for a while, but stopped that and became a guard in Canterlot, got in a bit of a fight with my parents during the Changeling invasion. We don't talk anymore... Anyway, ended up doing fairly well in the defense group after the invasion, ended up the field tester for the Magitech division of the Equestrian Royal Guard. It's... a good gig, and I'm the best Enforcer they've got on the beat, but... I guess I wanted to prove that it isn't about nations or borders. That nobody on this planet is truly the best on their own, ya know? I mean, I'm badass, but I'm nothing without my team, or where I come from... I want to give them a little glory, and this seemed like the perfect way."

Of course, there were a lot of details avoided, some things that would make stuff a lot clearer, but that would suffice.
