So this came out sometime today. Think it's bit stupid and their response to control fan films.

This is nothing but pure greed, pain and simple. CBS/Paramount is only doing this so that even if the fan films do make money illegally, they don't make much because they are barring anyone that's worked on any Star Trek property from working on a fan project. That includes actors, Extras, writers, production staff, authors, etc.

I like how this all kicked off because of the AXANAR lawsuit but with these guidelines they are just going to turn round and hit it again

That's Amazon pricing. eBay has DS9 for 150 USD and other sites have it below 120 USD. That price level isn't unusual for a box set. Hell, M*A*S*H ranges in price from 65 USD to 130 USD.
