Hey everybody.
Originally I was gonna upload the story mid-week, but I decided to move it to weekend release as my previous chapter had really low traction.
Plus, I'm having a bit of a writer's block that needs untangling so a few extra days could help.
Yeah, it was useful and provided some key insights, but it just felt awkward somehow.
I suspect it's because by this point I'm wondering what the villians are up to, after several straight chapters of following the main six around.
So us taking a random break to follow Starlight and Starswirl instead, just feels off for some reason.
It's not a bad scene, it just feels a little weird where it was placed.
Maybe if you had started it back when the main six first left for the dragon lands? Just a thought.

The Starlight and Starswirl thing was there to establish parallels and connections.

It's a good lore dump in that it fills in valuable information on Starswirl. The problem is that (chronologically) it would have made more sense to include it right after the blimp took off.
Then we would have known this story line was a thing, and we wouldn't have been surprised when it popped up again.
Even a line about Starlight noticing something suspicious about Starswirl, and resolving to follow him during that chapter would have worked.
Instead it's kinda of dumped in our laps, with no real time to adjust.
It comes into play after we've gotten caught up with events at the dragon lands, and have written off Starlight and Starswirl being not involved in this leg of the story.
If we did wind up cutting away to something, the natural expectation is that it be one of the villians.
We've seen you cover them countless times, so we know to expect it, and we all know they're up to something important that's going to drive the plot forward.
At a time when the main six are on the potential verge of unraveling the story's big mystery, and all the other villians are getting ready to set the final acts in motion, it just feels weird to cut to a unrelated backstory right at the beginning of your next chapter.
