Honest, promise, I’m still around!
Remember when I first came back and made a blog stating I didn’t know how long I’d be here but I’d stick around for a week or so at least? Yeah, anyways, I’m like an in-law around Christmas. You can’t get rid of me. But unlike said in-laws, I’ve been quiet and out of sight! So what’s up? Where have I been?
Well, I’ve been busy.
I started the summer off with my boyfriend coming up from the US to visit for a full month. In that time, I also continued working full time, so precious off-hours were used to do as much as we could. Visiting with friends, attending special events, doing as many fun things together like Magic the Gathering and Baking and playing Video Games and… yeah. It was great.
While he was over I also started a new college course. Did you know? I’m working full time and doing college part time! Anyways that takes up a couple hours of my day after work too. Every day. Suffice to say I’ve been out of spoons before I get to any writing.
Everfree was an incredible break from all this, by the way! While I was there, I got to meet Koa, and get Jenna Warren and Imalou to sign my Rainbow Factory book. I also got to be horse famous for a bit, because Imalou asked for my autograph too! As did a couple other fans. Nothing in the world will be cooler to me than overhearing the words “I was hoping to meet the person who wrote Rainbow Factory…”, I don’t think.
But now I’m back to being my regular nobody in my regular small town! Still working full time and doing college in the off hours, but I’m feeling a bit more revitalized and have some new ideas that hopefully, hopefully, I’ll be able to get writing soon. Patience, folks! There will be new content eventually. 😊
With that, I’m out! Hope y’all are having a fantastic start to your spooky seasons. It’s my favourite time of the year… could you tell? 🤣
