Status Update - Last Bow and Apprentice

Hey there, everyone! It's been a while since I checked in for anything other than a preview here and there, so I figured I'd drop a brief update on what all I've been working on, as well as why it's taken so long to get things released. More after the page break.

So, last time I gave an update was back in May. I was about to release the new chapter of Apprentice, I announced Last Bow was getting put on hold temporarily, I eventually posted the new chapter, and that was that. It's now been almost three months since then, and over a year since the last Last Bow chapter. So let's get into why it's taken so long for me to release shit lately.

Life has been... something lately.

The short version is, I've been dealing with a job hunt, turbulence at my old job, two vacations, week-long visits to my parents' house for some house-sitting, making plans to move, a new job, and a whoooooooole lot of stuff.

I have had a lot going on in the last several months. But fortunately, I think I'm finally on the other side of most of it. Not all. I am, as a matter of fact, now looking to move out of Texas entirely and up to the New England area here in the next year (most likely around 6 months from now or so), so I've been doing a tentative apartment hunt from 1800 miles away, but I will know more of when I'm gonna move there as I get more money saved up and closer to the end of the year when my lease expires.

However, that's far out. There's a whole World Cup to be played before that. I have a 10th Anniversary of Apprentice to celebrate (and prepare a chapter for). And I need to get Last Bow going again now that I have the energy and desire to write again.

Both of those are coming along, by the way. I'm actually expecting to have a new Last Bow chapter published here in the next few weeks. I'm about finished with all of the scenes, but there's about 1.5 to go. Fair warning, it's gonna go from a light-hearted chapter to taking a darker turn near the end, so I hope you're prepared for it.

As for Apprentice, it's about 30% done, and it's been that way for months, but I've been making headway on it (finally) as of late. Once this Last Bow chapter is out, I can devote all my time toward it to get it ready to go by November 19th. After that, I've got just my last rewrite chapter of the original batch ready to go, and then I was toying with rewriting the climax and maybe adding a brand new chapter in the middle to better tie into Last Bow, but those are questions for later.

Anyway, yeah, that's everything. Just needed to explain my absence and hopefully, what the future holds.
