So, about the Father's Day Special and Bad Ending (Yes, they're both deleted) · 11:53pm Jul 12th, 2022
As a lot of you may have realized, I've let a few ongoing stories fall to the wayside for way longer than intended. A lot of these stories are either due to scheduling conflicts, financial dependence on larger projects, or just lack of personal interest. However, there are two particular stories that I feel deserve a proper explanation for being on hiatus: Shining Armor's 'Father's' Day Special, and Showing His Place: Sacrifice - the Bad Ending.
I'm not going to give away too much information, but I'll say that both of these stories have been commissioned by a single person at a consistent rate. During the last year I spent back in Missouri, to say I was in financial stress would be a major understatement. I depended on commissions to keep my bills and my rent paid on time, and the darker additions to the Showing His Place series were some of the best means I had to make that happen. I'm not going to say I regret the stories and updates I wrote during that time, since they certainly helped me push my personal boundaries and adjust to working under pressure. But at the same time, those two particular stories had to be delayed for specific reasons between myself and the commissioner.
In regards to Bad Ending, that was more because of the commissioner wanting to focus more on me writing more Father's Day chapters instead. I wasn't too comfortable with the direction Bad Ending was going anyway, so I wasn't one to complain about that.
In the case of Father's Day, well... there might be six chapters published already, but I technically wrote and finished chapter ten. Chapters seven and eight are up on my Patreon, while the latter two are solely private for the commissioner; and to be completely honest, I'm tempted to remove the other two from my Patreon because I do NOT want them on FimFiction. Things were going in a very, very dark direction by that point, and I wasn't comfortable uploading them in the first place; and considering what I published in Father's Day already, that should say a LOT.
Will I ever update either of those stories? Well... Bad Ending will have a 'On Hiatus' right now, but I doubt there's much I could add myself. I've considered writing one final chapter for Father's Day, just to place a nail in that coffin and leave a proper ending. But either way, I doubt too many people will be that upset about those stories being thrown to the wayside. I just wanted to explain myself about those updates, since I'm pretty sure writing so much dark content for month's end was a big reason for my mental health being put through the wringer a while back. (No offense to the commissioner though; they saved my ass more times than I can count, and I'm eternally grateful for their help)
With all that being said though, I should being up some good news regarding the aftermath of those chapters. Now that I've gotten back in the swing of writing regularly (I currently have two different multi-chapter projects currently underway), I've been inspired to write a proper addition to the Showing His Place series. Not only will this story be set earlier in the timeline (specifically between SHP2 and Date Night), but it would also be a MUCH-needed role reversal about the consequences and dangers of their relationship. Since I mentioned it in my Discord groupchat, it's only fair that I give a teaser for this future project:
Showing His Place: The Break
When it came to the unconventional relationship that Shining Armor and Princess Cadance shared with the former King Sombra, all three of them understood the utmost importance of trust and respect. Even when boundaries and limits were pushed for the sake of a more titillating experience, Sombra usually treaded lightly for the sake of keeping his Princess and diligent cuck. Things had been going splendidly for the group for a while, allowing Sombra to feel more comfortable as the couple's Bull. But on one fateful night, things fall apart drastically when he pressed his luck too far. With just one thowaway remark, their trust in Sombra is instantly damaged, possibly beyond repair. Can the former villain learn from his mistakes after being thrown out of the bedroom? And even with the deepest apologies, could Sombra hope for either of the livid couple to ever forgive his heinous actions?
After all that they shared, Sombra was willing to do anything to regain their trust and companionship. However, that desperation might bite him in the flank when a "probation session" is suggested, and the stallions' roles are given an appropriate reversal...
When will I have the opportunity to write out this concept? I'm not 100% sure. But rest assured, this still WILL happen soon. And depending on how curious readers might be, I really hope for this to be the story worth waiting for~
[EDIT - I just talked with the commissioner of those stories, and they wised for both Father's Day and Bad Ending to be removed from FimFiction entirely. Apologies to anyone who enjoyed that series, but it's up to me and the commissioner whether or not it stays.]

I really enjoy your work, but I wasn't into the super dark stuff you've been writing as of late. I hope the change in direction will be good for your mental health, and I'm very excited and interested in the new story idea.

i've seen some pretty messed up shit over the years like mlp grimdark & works by Gengoroh Tagame (a bara mangaka/artist. *whispers into the right ear* he has way more fucked up ones, believe me.) but not that dark!
i never read that story Showing His Place due to a certain subject matter/topic like castration

I had no idea this happened. I wish I could have read the unpublished chapters before you removed them from patreon. Just to judge them for myself to see if they got too dark for me.
