Updates and Hey, I'm Sick! · 11:51pm Jul 5th, 2022

He-llo, everypony! Hmm, what's this? Another blog post so soon? I must be in a chatty mood, I suppose. I was visiting some friends in West Virginia, possibly looking to move out there but things didn't work out. I got back home a few days ago to quarantine when I tested positive for Covid.

Because, of course I did. So, yeah, I've been sick for the past week and trying to get back into my writing groove. The next chapter of "A Pup Named Fenrir" is coming as well as the next story in my head-canon series. But what does this mean for my other unfinished stories? "Starlight and Spike’s Excellent Adventure" will be finished at some point, it's just that it takes place further in the timeline so I'm working my way up to it. I'm still midway through season five and I have a lot planned in terms of character and plot-line introductions.

For some reason, people like "Care to Take a Lady Out on a Date?" and "The Ballad of the Prince-Formerly-Known-As-King-Sombra", even though I personally think they're subpar. Romance isn't a genre that I'm totally comfortable with writing so CTTALOOAD is quite out of my comfort zone. Will I ever finish it? I might have to rewrite the whole thing and start from scratch. TBOTPFKAKS is the sequel to one of the first things I wrote on the site "Shattering a Heart of Darkness", which I am completely unsatisfied with. I plan on rewriting that as well and hopefully turn it into something adequate.

"The Reign of Chaos: Discord’s Story" is also one of my earlier stories and is still incomplete thus far. The truth is, I'm not entirely sure that it's even necessary at this point as I plan on diving into more of Discord's past in my head-canon series so I don't feel that a multi-chapter story detailing his background is warranted. It mostly recycles information that's already been tackled before and I'm not satisfied with some of the ideas that have been presented in the story. I might just scrap it and reintroduce elements into the main storyline, especially when it comes to a certain villain from Discord's past that I want to bring into the fray. Someone very...malicious.

My head-canon series is taking most of my focus, which makes sense as I plan on rewriting the majority of the show's continuity, particularly seasons eight and nine. There's going to be the introduction (or rather, reintroduction) of G1 villains, such as King Lavan, Catrina, Arabus and Grogar (the real one). We'll see the return of one-shot characters such as the diamond dogs and Prince Blueblood and the conclusion to characters' stories such as Iron Will, Lightning Dust and Pinkie Pie's rogue clone. Oh yeah, I have a lot planned.
