Yep, today's my birthday. I'm now 29 and thus another year closer to being an old man. They say you're as old as you feel and if that's the case, I must be over four-hundred. To celebrate, I had Chick-fil-A with my folks and went to the movies with my grandma to see Black Adam. And it was...eh. It was a mixed bag for me. The action scenes were good and I liked the Justice Society but the script needed more work in certain areas, like the central message of morality, killing versus mercy, being an inspiration rather than a symbol of terror and ruthlessness, et cetera, et cetera. Over all, I'd say that it was flawed but enjoyable and I'd rather take that than cheap and terrible. The DCEU might just have a chance after all. Where was I? Oh, right. So after the movies, I had cake with my grandma, parents and little sister (two-and-a-half), who asked for more cake because, "I want to take part in my brother's birthday." We all vetoed that idea but it was still so freakin' adorable. All in all, it was a good day.

Thank you and yes, they do. It's like the Quicksilver scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past and the bar scene in Sonic the Hedgehog...except with more violence and explosions.
