Psychics of Earth

Even with the decline of magic on Earth, the capacity to use magic is still present within her children, some more than others. This takes the forms of miracles, incredible physical ability, and psychic abilities. The extent of psychic abilities is not known due to the fact true psychic abilities can't be turned on and off like a lamp and the needed stimuli are hard to replicate under lab conditions. The hard limit of these abilities is that they can only affect spiritual energy and not matter or other forms of energy. These abilities are survival mechanisms that have evolved  to be more, like language. Even the same ability will present differently in different people. People can either be born with these abilities or develop them later in life, typically upon becoming a parent. All life on Earth projects an aura of some sort, and most psychic abilities operate off of that.
Psychic abilities include, empathic bonding which allows social creatures to bond with anything, including inanimate objects, and creatures can sometimes even tell when other bonded creature dies by experiencing inexplicable grief; danger sense which allows creatures to detect danger in their environment and dangerous individuals; empathy which allows a creature to detect and experience the emotions of another creature, even if they have no other cues; hyper-spatial awareness which allows a creature to navigate a space, even if they've never been there before, and be more aware of what's happening around them; the ability to see spirits which can range from a shadowy figure to a near perfect replica of the being in life based on the spirit's and viewer's power, but people can't talk to spirits outside of some sort of mental realm since spirits lack vocal cords; precognition and prophetic dreams which most frequently present themselves as deja vu and rarely are anything specific; and the ability to learn how an object works by touch, even without any engineering training.
