Look who's not dead yet! Sorry I've been off the grid for so long, I just haven't really felt the itch to do anything MLP-related lately... but now, that maybe starting to change, as I have a hankering for a new Displaced project, starring...
DOCTOR OCTOPUS!!!!
The details are still indevelopment, mainly because I need to figure out WHEN our sucker placed into the body of Doc Ock shows up, as I've overused the Canterlot Wedding scenario, and I haven't seen ANY of Gen 5... still wondering wha happened during Twilight's regin that made magic go away... plus I need to figure out if this version of Ock is going to be a good guy, a bad guy, or a villain. I did think about putting it in a version of the Assassinverse, because admittedly, I think the Traditionalists might have something to say about an energy source created through really advanced technology that would allow one to hold the power of the sun itself in the palm of their hand, but I'm not entirely certain.

Been doing good. Moved into a new apartment, been tinkering with non-MLP projects, doing some amateur livestreaming, living the good life.
Haven't had a Assassinationverse Fics for a long, long time.
And Doc Octopus saving or avenging another genius like Twilight ( Even though she can be a bit naive and dense in some things. ), would be poetic.

That's nothing to say of what would happen when word about Doc Ock's fusion reactor gets out. That would attract all kinds of attention from Progressives/Sparkheads and Traditionalists, for a number of reasons. Something like that would completely change EVERYTHING about how Equestria lives. Having a miniature sun providing safe, renewable energy, and cheap electricity for everyone would be catastrophic for the Traditionalists, and be a MASSIVE tally in the win colum for Twilight and her supporters.
Hmm... perhaps my version of Otto can become Doc Ock because of an act of sabotage on his reactor by the Traditionalists, setting him on his path of revenge/avenging Twilight Sparkle's murder... hmm...

Well, I never anything about his fusion reactor/"mini sun". But don't you remember that in the original second movie. BOTH incidents was a insane disaster, causing it to be unstable, and turning it into a gravitational force.
IF Tony ( Iron Man ) and Reed ( Mr. Fantastic ), and even Peter ( He is smart himself ) helped Doc Ock back then. Then his own fusion reactor wouldn't be as unstable in the original?
But having him alone in a medieval world like MLP. I highly doubt that he will get it more stable, even without the Traditionalist's sabotage.
And I don't know how will magic will affect it? Celestia would be the most help I guess. She is the sun goddess.

With help from Twilight or Celestia, Magic would make a whole different system, and the fact the show hasn't gone into full detail of the limits of magic other than that one episode when Twilight was tricking Trixie, thus Phantom could create his own magic system.
