Humanity Fuck Yeah Is the Fantasy and Sci-fi Equivalent of White Man's Burden · 1:22am May 24th, 2022
The concept of Humans being the only truly creative race, who are more capable of changing the course of the planet/galaxy because they simply think better and come up with better ideas is eerily similar to the kind of shit you'd hear those skull shape psuedoscientists trying to justify slavery would use to explain why White People are the best race.
In a realistic sense, Humans would not naturally or biologically have any advantages over other species, be they alien or elf or dwarf. Especially when you start getting into shit like aliens who are naturally able to shoot fire out of their mouths or some shit.
The only sci-fis or fantasy settings I respect are those who can realistically find a solution to humans succeeding without falling into the pit trap of 'lol, they are just naturally more creative and can come up with better solutions.'
Like, for instance, Stargate, who explained humanities ability to succeed in space against the Goa'uld was because the Goa'uld had stagnated into Feudalism due to a lack of actual threats while humanity progressed. That's a good way to have humans win against a technologically advanced race without having them just naturally be better, especially because one of the main characters in Stargate was an Alien.
You know who didn't do it well? Star Trek. Where Humans are just naturally smarter than the aliens and better and diplomacy, and formed a space Federation because we are creative and short lived. No, that's bullshit.
And stop bringing Humanity Fuck Yeah into Fim, it genuinely has no place here, especially when it's humans being enslaved by the horses and then rising up out of nowhere and killing them all. Fuck off with that, genuinely.
It's a matter of personal taste. There are plenty of pony fuck yeah stories. Such as Friendship is Optimal or The Conversion Bureau for example, where the ponies kill (assimilate) all the humans, and the humans are helpless to stop them.
Some users find that distasteful, and find themselves prompted to make pro human stories.
Not to mention how it usually comes with lots of lovingly-described modern guns and other stuff that breaks the whole schizo-tech the show has going for it over its knees. Not a terrible fan of it myself. I wouldn't go as far to say it has no place on FimFiction, though; some folks really like it, let them have their corner.
I wonder what you would think of a story like "The Road Not Taken", Deergenerate. Do you know that one?

Ah, The Conversion Bureau. So much vitriol come from writing mistakes. The original author never wanted to make the ponies hateful, he just never considered how the words he put in their mouths would come across.

I don't think I read those ones. I mostly read human and pony romance. I even like ponies being stronger than humans, but not evil. In other words, don't abuse their power. If they treat a human with dignity and respect despite the insane power difference over them, I am not disturbed.
I mosty avoid TCB these days. Since human and pony love is largely non-existent.

Sorry, I was dead-tired and made a few typos with my last post. XD
But yeah, I understand. TBC has gotten lost somewhere in a game of one-upmanship between writers on either side of the extreme spectrum. I'd even say the entire concept of 'love' in general has been in TBC writing.
