Gamma Problems · 5:28am Mar 17th, 2022
Good shot, Sparkles, That Tree Stump will think twice before making funny faces in public!
Funny, I was just Testing the latest mods to my Gamma Gun; the Deep dish definitely improved its Range & Power, and adding a bunch of Duct Tape works surprisingly well to make the grip more comfortable. Now I just need to see if I should add a Signal Repeater or a Electric Signal Carrier Antennae…
Look, babe. You do know that the Gamma Gun is horrible right?
What’s wrong with it? It deals a lot of Radiation damage!
Yeah, Too bad literally anything except raiders are either resistant or immune to it.
… well okay, but-
Plus it’s effective range is deceptively small, even with the Deep Dish anything that isn’t in the epicenter of its shot won’t get full damage; making it more useful as a close range weapon.
… okay, then I’ll just-
Which isn’t too much of a problem, except it’s the worst to reload! Seriously, we have to change all three battery thingies just to use it; that’s not even pointing out that it can only be fired eight times! And lastly ammo for it is hard to find, even with Luck AND our combined knowledge of scavenging, it’s like finding a needle in a haystack!
*Bumble notices Twilight looks dejected as she stares down her gun.*
… so with all that in mind I think the best way to make it more effective would be to give it that Electric… Antennae… Whatsit.
*ears perk up* You mean the Electric Signal Carrier Antennae?
Yeah, that. The Signal Repeater isn’t really necessary since the Gamma Gun’s Rate of Fire is actually pretty good; plus, as I mentioned before, reloading the gun & finding ammo for it is horrible, so we’re better off without it. However, The Electrical Signal Whohah-
Electric Signal Carrier Antennae.
Right, that thing adds Electric Damage, which gives it more options to be used against enemies. Not much, but still better then what it has; unless we can find an Alien Artifact that basically turns it into a Telekinesis Gun, but what are the odds of that?
*hugs* Thanks, Beau!
Welcome, Twi. Sorry if. Sounded mean, it’s just that the Gamma Gun is too situational to be used regularly. And out here we can’t afford to be picky.
I know, and you’re right!
*Suddenly a Purple & Green dog arrives*
Hey guys, I found a Red Rocket just around the hill there!
Awesome job, Spike! Did you see any enemies?
Not really, I think it should be a safe to rest.
Great! Now that we decided On a mod, I can make the necessary improvements to my gun!
Assuming we have the right resources out of all this junk. *points to a pile of Weapons, Armor, and Pre-War garbage* if not, maybe we can make you some better protection?
No way! This Lab Coat already has the best Ballistic Weave possible, effectively making it the next best thing to Power Armor! Plus… *twirls* This makes me look so Intellectual!
*Has a sly grin* You know what, You’re right! You should wear a Lab Coat, or nothing! And I happen to know there’s no Lab Coats in Red Rocket Stations.
*Rolls Eyes* let’s focus on salvaging what we found, first.
You guys aren’t going to make me sleep in a tire again, are you?
*walks out from behind a building dragging fallout* hi guys I got some pie from a vending machine!
Pinkie I’m telling you eating that is a bad idea

Oh come on Fallout, what could happen?
*eats the cake and gains Rads, suddenly his legs shift to be more Kangaroo-like, and he lifts his shirt to see a pouch made of skin folds on his stomach.*
(Basically, he gained the Marsupial Mutation)
Holy Crap!!! Beau, you must have gained a mutation from the cake! are you okay?!
*Bumble says nothing but instead smells around and finds a random tin can on the ground.*
… apparently the mutation took his Intelligence away too… ugh, I’ll need to craft some rad away…

*sighs and Shakes his head then looks at pinkie*
And this is why I said to not eat everything you find pinkie
y-yeah ok I won’t do it anymore
Good
