Analysing Sonichu Issue #12 · 9:33am Mar 12th, 2022
Note: This analysis discusses themes of transgenderism and gender dysphoria, and involves individuals who have transitioned from one gender to another. For reasons of consistency (and to avoid confusion), these individuals will be referred to using male pronouns throughout.
Sonichu #12 arrived in October 2017, suggesting that Chris finally had regained his creative streak from 2004-2005. For a very long time, the contents of the issue were shrouded in mystery seeing as Sonichu #11 had been severely delayed. However, according to leaked emails between Chris and a troll, the core plotline started to be developed back in 2011 and went through several revisions between then and actual work beginning.1 This level of planning was almost unheard of from Chris, and when the final result appeared it became clear why-the issue was effectively a dramatisation of his own transition, using Robbie Sonichu as a stand-in for himself.
The cover depicts an event hinted at back in the last issue, with the CWCVille SLGBTQ festival at the centre of proceedings. Chris, naturally, is depicted foremost, alongside Sonichu's family, including a newly transitioned Robbie. Though I have to admit that Rosechu's comment probably won't endear people to her, as it creates the impression the LGBTQ community respond to any criticism with violence and anger (which is true of Chris, but is not generally true of the entire community).
The title of our next episode, 'To be or Naught a Tomgirl', is an attempt to be a play on Hamlet's soliloquy from Act 3, Scene 1 of the Shakespeare play of the same name. This opens 'To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep
No more.'2
Notice that Chris himself cannot even get one of the most famous speeches in literature right. He is not only missing the 'to be', but he also substitutes 'not', with 'naught', which is an archaic spelling of the word for 'zero'. As a result, the title reads 'To be or 0 a feminine male', which is of course nonsense.
We are introduced once again to Robbie, and his speech nicely demonstrates Chris' limited understanding of gender. Much like Robbie, he assumes that males exclusively like violent and edgy stuff, whilst women are always soft, caring, and motherly, with absolutely no awareness that a middle ground exist. Guys can indeed be caring, and be interested in stuff that would be stereotypically considered feminine; this website would not exist were it not for large numbers of grown men taking interest in a show aimed at little girls.3
One line in there is particularly revealing; Robbie refers to TV as 'educational'. Whilst I am certain this is true for some shows (just look at Sesame Street), this does rather eerily resemble something Chris wrote in a pice of work for school, where he described TV as part of a child's environment.4 The fact that Chris thinks this is hardly surprising; his parents would stick him in front of the TV for hours and bribe him with toys in an effort to get him to speak.
To my surprise, Chris then shows some nuance to masculinity through the contrasting experiences of Cera and Christine (although Cera is the one who is 'dumg' here). Sadly, the assumption that nice boys are in the minority are a reflection of Chris' upbringing, where he was frequently bullied during High School over his disability.
Magi-Chan's words are a reference to the 'male brain/female brain' theory in neuroscience, which suggests that the human brain has a mixture of male and female traits. This varies from person to person, but can be especially pronounced in autistic people. Whilst some show more androgynous traits, others exhibit what Simon Baron-Cohen terms 'extreme maleness'.5
If Chris is Robbie's grandmother, this means that Chris' kids are younger than Chris' youngest grandchild. You sure are living the rockstar life, Chris!
Oh dear, Chris. You were doing so well. One of Chris' key assumptions during the Classic Era of trolling was that all bullies and trolls were gay and/or transgender men (which was not universally true). Chris still seems to not have shaken off that idea, sadly.
The concluding remarks about punches are a good demonstration of the fact that Chris does not really understand how bullying works. Chris claims to not have been bullied due to never having been kicked or punched, unaware that the majority of bullying constitutes verbal abuse.6
J.K. is not intended as a reference to J.K. Rolling, author of the Harry Potter novels (yet another thing Chris hates for no logical reason).7 Instead, it is the internet shorthand 'just kidding', which Chris found himself on the receiving end of many times.8
Remember when Chris said that the comics would no longer be about him? Yeah... he lied. Also, can I reiterate that this character is 2-3 years old? I have never encountered anybody of this age who speaks like this.
OK, I have to admit this is quite heartwarming, and considerably smoother than the reception Chris got from his parents when he announced his gender identity.
Notice the poster of Greta Squall (one of the newsreaders from Sonichu #8) on the back wall. I wonder why they have one of those?
Notice how Christine has switched to speaking Spanish. Chris claims to be fluent in Spanish (he isn't), and would frequently switch between the two languages for no good reason; quite a bit of his schoolwork starts in English, switches to broken Spanish, and then goes back to English despite the fact the work often specifies it has to be written in English.9 The fact that Chris got high or even full marks on those items shows how the education system has failed us. Anyways, whilst Christine's grammar is correct here, the accent on the 'e' of 'tres' is missing.
And we couldn't have a heartwarming moment without Chris ruining it, could we, with the revelation that Robbie ejaculated onto the carpet. Yuck.
This section reflects on one of the challenges trans people do face; it is a fact of biology that male and female bodies are structured differently, and as a result finding clothes that fit can be a challenge.
Oh, and Robee? You should not be going to Chris for medical advice. Whilst doing a DIY transition, Chris had the bright idea of not only taking the seeds mentioned (not a good idea), but also made heavy use of Oestrogel, a cream meant for use by post-menopausal women which he ordered through Offshore Pharmacy (it's supposed to be subscription only). Chris then proceeded to slap gigantic amounts of the stuff on himself, causing him no end of serious health problems.10
Perpetual psychic surveillance. Even more evidence CWCVille is a Police State. Considering how much surveillance there is, how do threats keep sneaking through?
Robee briefly references a line often associated with Star Trek, although those exact words were never actually spoken in the classic Star Trek TV series or films. Despite the heavy use of Star Trek references (such as Captain's Log), Chris has never actually watched Star Trek, and instead picked up these references from Family Guy episodes spoofing Star Trek.12
To quote Wingdingaling:
Somebody get Magi-Chan away from those kids! That kind of non-advice should be considered child abuse!
And he's right. Chris began listening to binaural beats as a substitute for actual surgery (or 'surgury', as Robee puts it here). Many of the videos he listened to were connected to gender transitioning, including ones that claimed it would make breasts grow (Chris' did, though largely as a consequence of the amount of fast food he eats), and another that would change his male bits to female bits. This would lead Chris to self harm 'down there' to speed the process up, nearly giving himself a severe infection in the process.13
It rather goes without saying this is not how gender transitioning works at all. Scientists are yet to figure out a way to reconfigure a reproductive system in this manner.
Who's Larry? Notice the PSNetwork trophy at the bottom; Chris had acquired a PS4 in 2016, which was part of the reason work on the comic screeched to a halt.
This page would imply that Sonichus and similar age faster than humans, seeing as they're already doing teenage things. Before you get too excited, the female character on the left was created by a troll. That troll was Jackie, who made efforts to try and drive Chris' life in a better direction by pointing out what he was doing wrong. Chris, however, refuses to listen to anything other than people praising him.
As noted above, this comic started in 2009 but was published in 2017. The timeskip is part of an effort to bring things into line (again, a problem that could have been avoided by not using real world dates). The Sonic Boom arms campaign is briefly referenced, and Chris sets about shipping yet another character.14
After nearly two decades of drawing comics, Chris still cannot order a page. Also, who talks like this? If I had no clue who had written this, I would have assumed this comic was written by aliens trying to guess what humans are like.
Robee is talking about stereotypically female things. Gee, it's almost like Chris barely understands women.
Oh God. They didn't... did they? If they did, that's underage. Smooth, Chris. Smooth.15
Chris' poor grasp of math comes up again; according to him, all Sonichus and Rosechus have the same speed, so as established in Sonichu #1 Robee's top speed should only be 125 miles per hour, well short of the 767 miles per hour required to break the sound barrier. It would be impossible for a human to attempt this, as the fastest human ever was Usain Bolt, who was once clocked at 27 miles per hour.16
Chris then proceeds to rip off the MLP episode 'Sonic Rainboom', even down to tracing several shots from the episode. Hilariously, Robee is far slower than Rainbow Dash, who based on calculations done in 2011 is capable of Mach 10 (and her EqG counterpart is estimated to be able to run at about 500 miles per hour).
Chris tries to send a positive message, but misquotes (and misunderstands) Michael Jackson in the process. Jackson's actual quote is:
If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself, and make a change.
Furthermore, Jackson was talking about taking action in the community and becoming a better person, not whatever Chris is trying to say.
The episode then concludes with several Sonichu characters cosplaying as Equestria Girls characters (Christine's is especially bad, as it barely resembles Sci-Twi). Two years earlier, Chris had cosplayed as EqG Vinyl Scratch at OmegaCon, but the results were somewhat lacklustre.
You can see what Chris was going for, but he failed to bleach his hair before dying it, which is why it was a bizarre seaweed colour for many years.
Our next sequence opens in media res for the first time since Sonichu #0, with Chris Chan Sonichu fighting Reldnahc (making his first appearance in 7 years). Chris' ramblings about love and lack of knowledge are quite ironic if you know anything about the guy, as to say that Chris is naive about the world is something of an understatement. Not to mention his anger management issues...
The concluding panel of this page reveals that Chris' sanity slippage had only gotten worse since the writing of Sonichu #11. Chris has entertained the possibility that fictional characters are alive and live in a parallel universe for a very long time, even going as far as calling somebody 'naive' for pointing out that fictional characters are, by definition, fiction and don't exist.17 As a consequence, Chris believes that if he were to reboot the comics and remove all the copyrighted elements, the characters in the comics would die and lose their memories (he, however, has absolutely no problem with leaving them stuck in limbo for years).18
Chris describing his prior works as practice is also quite funny, considering his art style and plot writing has not improved at all in the 13 years since Sonichu #0.
Chris then reveals this episode's title, which is a pun that sort of works. Chris' almost illegible author's note reveals that the park as shown here is based on a track he built in a game called Modnation Racers, which was one of his many obsessions and contributed to his severe financial problems.19
Chris' contempt for the Bananasauros character is shown again, as he cannot even be bothered to spell the character's name properly. The man in the next panel is DStecks, who as mentioned in the last analysis funded the production of much of the comic up to this point. The fact that Soup Hotels are even needed is a key indication of CWCVille's lopsided economy, as money that could help generate employment is instead funnelled into vanity projects and allowing recolours to live on welfare.
Chris rambles on about inane bullshit for God knows how long, then the other characters finally get a word in. Again, notice how Silvana has inexplicably ended up with a German accent, and all the characters are praising Chris.
Just to make it abundantly clear; I have absolutely no problem with LGBTQ people. My issue with this sequence is that all this rambling has no bearing on the plot whatsoever, and the information is presented through textwall after textwall. I say again, show, don't tell?
Those two horrifying things next to Chris are his kids (which I sincerely hope are something he never has in real life!). Notice how both of them are recolours of Robee and Cera as Sonees, who in turn are mini Sonichus and Rosechus, who in turn (you get the picture).
This new character was first alluded to in Sonichu #11, and her name is Heather Iglesias. She is the first prominent hispanic character in the series, and unfortunately a racial stereotype as well (notice her occupation is that of a carer, which is a career stereotypically associated with hispanic women in the United States). Chris also attempts to be multicultural by having Heather switch between broken Spanish and English constantly, even mid sentence. I knew quite a few hispanic people when I was younger, and when they were communicating in English none of them spoke like this. Ironically, this more accurately reflects Chris' grasp of Spanish.
Chris continuing to use Megan's characters more than a decade after SheCameForCWC.jpg nicely demonstrates that Chris never really felt sorry about what he did to her. And then suddenly Reldnahc. Considering he was depowered, how is he in his powered up form?
Nice to see Chris acknowledging that plot arc was a bad thing to do.
The panel composition here is a little better, but it almost feels like Chris misheard 'show, don't tell' as 'show, then tell'.
Why wouldn't he take advantage of that? Though it may be a matter of pride. Ready yourself...
As hard as this is to read (in terms of page layout), this moment can be seen as a surprising instance of clarity on Chris' part, almost a realisation that he has achieved next to nothing in his life and is not a very nice person.
Chris, saying sorry? I never thought I'd see the day. Still, Chris' claim to have 'matured mentally and emotionally' is laughably untrue. Chris hasn't matured in the slightest, not understanding the difference between being young at heart and a manchild.
The two former adversaries finally finding peace can be directly compared to Chris making a conscious effort to reconnect with his old enemies and try to reconcile. For instance, at MAGFest in 2018, Chris reconciled with Adam Stackhouse, who had been the subject of much rage from Chris as Stackhouse had beaten him in a contest.20
The road beneath Reldnahc's feet melts whilst Magi-Chan engages KBG mode.
If Magi-Chan can really foresee and predict stuff, surely it'd be more useful to put stuff into place to prevent that from happening? And how can there be Jerkops if Slaweel is still imprisoned and depowered?
If you were hoping for the return of Metal Sonichu, prepare to be disappointed. This is Count Graduon possessing his body (although he doesn't need to do that if Sonichu #8 is anything to go by).
A few things to explain:
Headmasters were a line of Transformers toys that appeared in 1987, allowing smaller Cybertronians to transform into a head unit and attach onto a larger, pilotable body.21
Dr Skysoar is yet another retcon, this time intended to replace Eggman in the comics on the grounds that Chris does not own the rights to Eggman. It is unlikely this rework would stand up in court as Skysoar is identical in personality and character to Eggman.
Chris makes himself even more overpowered whilst Chris accidentally draws Simonla the wrong colour, making her look even more like Sandy.
Crystal makes her first appearance in a while. In other news, if you know the Jerkops are on their way, why not send police or, you know, the army to intercept them? That is quite a good way of dealing with 'emerbencies'.
This should not be possible as Reldnahc's medallion was destroyed at the end of Sonichu #10.
It's been a while since we saw the characters power up in this manner. Notice that, rather than recycle panels from previous comics, Chris instead drew the transformations from scratch.
Err...OK.
My best guess as to what's happening here is that Graduon reactivated the Dark Medallion somehow. Also, A sympathetic LGBT character other than Chris in this comic? Don't be silly.
Chris steals Meg-Chan's catchphrase and uses it without her permission. Where did Graduon get all these Jerkops from?
You are probably wondering who this guy is. This man is an attempt at depicting Cole Smithey, the film critic and Chris' half-brother (Barbara's son from her first marriage). By all accounts, Chris and Cole do not get along particularly well; Chris constantly claimed he abandoned Barb and that he should come back to help look after her in her old age, whilst Cole wants nothing to do with his mother or Chris, claiming that she abused him physically and mentally (which is certainly consistent with what we know about her treatment of Chris).22
When was it established that Reldnahc can open portals?
I have no clue what Chris means by 'my rapier friend'.
This page showcases both sides of Chris' infamous laziness; the fact he couldn't be bothered to copy and paste the earlier panels, and then he resorts to describing attacks instead of using onomatopoeia.
And we have some plain nonsensical ones, such as 'citizens defend too'.
Another excellent demonstration of Chris' remarkable ability to make what should be exciting very boring. Now for some deus ex.
I can tell you in advance that Sonichu #14 will contain no such thing, sadly, as Sonichu is about to come flying off the rails.
It's not entirely clear why Chris felt the need to include this section, seeing as Robee's story is basically a dramatisation of his own transition. There are some interesting things to note on this page:
The reaction of Bob in the illustration is pretty close to Bob's actual reaction in real life. Notice how Barb is drawn as being a lot younger than Bob (in reality, she was 70 when this happened); this serves as eerie foreshadowing of what was to come 4 years down the road. To say that Barb got used to Chris' changes is something of a falsehood; in reality, she repeatedly claimed she would kill herself if Chris tried to transition, forcibly cut his hair when he grew it out, and apparently threw a fit after learning Chris changed his name to Christine.23 The Woodstock claim? CHRIS ACTUALLY BELIEVES THIS.
Also not true; Chris retained his irrational hatred of men for a long time, even (during the Jail Saga) angrily blaming Null for calling the police when it was actually a woman who posted his confession of incest online.24
We then get this page to conclude the Episode.
Our next and final episode in this comic is the second half of the clip show story started in Sonichu #11.
We are again running through events that occurred during the hiatus of the series, this time warping back in time to 2007. The anachronic order of events is an interesting approach (and, funnily enough, reflects the flow of a real conversation), but I doubt it was intentional. Props to Chris for actually depicting this stuff, rather than have it occur as an update on Facebook that nobody will read.
Notice that Chris, in drawing the characters, has commited the faux pas of having the bride and bridesmaids in identical dresses (I am, admittedly, unmarried myself, but apparently using identical suits and dresses for all members of the party is something you don't do). Simonla's prescence here constitutes something of a plot hole, as she would not start living in CWCVille until November.
As ridiculous as the main characters look in suits, I actually cannot pin that on Chris, as male Sonic characters look similarly ridiculous in both official media and fanart (an episode of Sonic Boom even made a joke out of this).25 Bubbles, of course, overreacts to a spider because she is a woman.
I can see where this is going...
What could have been an interesting moment of tension is completely broken by Chris' poorly written resolution. In case you're wondering why this comic feels a bit off, Chris is actually copying a fan comic here, but of course reworking the plot to remove anything remotely interesting or tense from the story. He even had the balls to tell the original author of the comic to redraw it in line with what happened here!
Who is this Sonichu (or Rosechu)?
This bit with the wedding cake? I can only assume the reference to the 'Constitution' is a reference to the film The Adventures of the American Rabbit, an obscure animated film from the 1980s which Chris is fixated with for some reason and heavily influenced not only the way he wrote Sonichu, but the way he views the real world.26
"My name's Cool Cat!"
Sorry, couldn't resist the obvious joke. I'll be doing a separate blog about Cool Cat at a later date (a film produced by Derek Savage, another lolcow).
It can be inferred this is when Blake's infatuation with Bubbles began, despite the fact she helped to beat the stuffing out of him not long earlier.
Elizabeth Foss is yet another real person in the comics. She was the pastor of the church that Chris attended when this comic was written, and Chris would frequently consult her for help with his online life (only to completely ignore her advice straight afterwards).27
Again, plot hole; Sandy cannot be at the wedding as she hasn't been born yet. And why is there a rabbit here?
Sonichu briefly references Sonichu fan works (most of them far better drawn than the official comic). John Crayon, in case you're wondering, drew the comic Chris was ripping off there, and Sonic makes an allusion to something oft depicted in Sonic fanart; Sonic marrying Amy (his nightmare, her dream).
We now rattle forward into one of the most bizarre sections of the comic overall. And that's saying a lot!
You'd think that Rosechu, being experienced with malls and that, would just use the lift (elevator to American readers). Or put her boxes in a shopping trolley. Having said that, if the characters behaved sensibly there would be no plot.
Sonichu, no! You do not move an injured person from where they are unless you are a medical professional! You could have left Rosechu with severe or potentially permanent injuries!
Franklin Chandler is a reference to Chris' grandfather. The hospital's design, as well as the design of the ambulance, is derived from a LEGO set (believed to be Set 7892, released in 2006).28 The later passage makes no sense, though; not only does a broken limb take about 6 weeks to a year to heal, depending on severity, and not only that Punchy was healed of his injuries in a PokeCenter in Sonichu #11.29 It would surely make more sense to use the PokeCenter to heal Rosechu's injuries as it's faster and more efficient.
This story was partially written to explain Rosechu's absence for much of 'To be or 0 a feminine male'. Notice how Rosechu has absolutely no reaction whatsoever to the fact that her son is now a girl. You'd think that'd be quite significant!
Having said that, Sonichu's words about always loving Rosechu are quite sweet. Beauty is, after all, in the eye of the beholder.
Much of the plot of this comic was directed by Chris' then girlfriend and semi-troll Jessica Quinn, who had a fat fetish.30 This fetish also influenced Chris in real life, as he considerably ballooned in weight during this time as well. Notice that Sonichu sends his youngest to get the pizza; surely the eldest child should get responsibilities like that?
Please don't let this be retread of Sonichu #8...
Rosechu's denial about her weight is, again, eerily reminiscient of Chris. Whenever somebody points out his obvious weight problems, his usual response is to scream at them that he isn't fat.31 This even extends to his comic persona, who is always portrayed as being slim and muscular. This is partially a consequence of Chris' facial blindness; according to himself, he struggled to remember what he looked like as a child, and as a result had to look in a mirror for hours in order to recall his appearance. This younger, slimmer version of himself has become entrenched in his mind (although one positive result of jail time was the fact he finally started getting regular exercise).
Well, good that Rosechu came around quickly. That pizza sounds disgusting though.
Chris finally shows some self-awareness that the content of his comic is not appropriate for kids, and then we get a reversal of the 'not fat, but pregnant' joke. Cera appears to be unaware that gestation does not work that fast.
Cera, you read my mind.
It's nice to see somebody taking obesity seriously, but I don't think the 'big like Godzilla' comparison is really that appropriate.
Chris acknowledges the fact he cannot draw stuff to scale. This comic is getting more and more self-aware by the day.
Rosechu ponders the eternal question of American television.32 Ironically, a lot of the comedy in the series is created through character tension and dislike of one another.
Notice how a speech bubble is intruding on the wrong panel.
Tantibus is not a real Latin word, instead coming from the world of computer programming.33 It is believed Chris got the word from the MLP monster of the same name, which had debuted in a Season 5 episode that had aired two years prior.34 And yet, the pickles are back.
Pickle juice makes Sonichu fat. Who'd have guessed?
The tunnel shape does carry rather unfortunate, somewhat Freudian implications (especially when you remember who wrote this). Sonichu also resturns to normal, rendering the earlier scenes pointless.
In which case the answer should be obvious; save Chris. If you save Chris, Rosechu might die, but if you save Rosechu, she will definitely die. Not difficult, Sonichu!
Not that it had any real bearing on proceedings as Rosechu saved Chris anyway.
This was the first page in a long time in this comic that had me howling with laughter, namely as it's so bizarre and inexplicable. What is going on here?
Unfortunately, Rosechu is about to discover it is much harder to get weight off than put it on (speaking from experience).
Careful, girls! Don't overdo it!
Chris then includes this surreal joke where as Rosechu and Cera get thinner, Layla gets fatter. I have no idea why.
Interestingly, if Rosechu was a human, 110 pounds would put her very close to being underweight (of course, Rosechus have different biology to humans so may function differently in that regard).
And look who's here! Amy Rose makes her first appearance in the series since Sonichu #1. Notice that Chris has again failed to draw her with her forehead spines, which makes Rosechu and Amy almost indistinguishable.
Amy Rose being played by a ditto is Chris' way of trying to get around copyright law, but sadly for him it does not work like that.
Where did the cast Friendship is Magic come from? And who on earth is this pink and green thing?
Chris wrote this song and would subsequently perform it with a boy band.35 Of course, 'perform' is the operative word; Chris has no sense of rhythm or pitch, and the words in no way line up with the music.
Sonichu #12 is, in many ways, the final 'proper' issue of Sonichu at time of writing. Not only the final issue to use the episode format established all the way back in 2004, it is the final issue to truly focus on Sonichu and company. And with new actors on the horizon, Chris' fantasy world was ripe for exploitation.
But more on that next time. Keep on zappin' to the extreme, guys!

I can't even express the way I cringed at this comic.
5643289
This does have a few funny moments, but for the most part it's the cringy kind of fail.
That's like saying Mao was a somewhat bad guy Seriously, I could pull off a feminine look better, at least until I grew 25 cm in less than two years and realised that it wasn't actually gender dysphoria but teenage disillusionment.
Also, I get the feeling Chris eventually transitioned into quite a motherfucker...
5643318
Mao Ling, or Mao Zedong? Both turn up in Christory.
Indeed he did. The warning signs were always there, but we never thought it would get that bad.
5643314
But I'm shocked to see he ripped off Sonic Rainboom. And clearly this stoop doesn't know that the sound barrier can't be broken on land that easy!
5643343
Mao Zedong. What does Chris have to do with him? I picked him because using Hitler in such comparisons is cliche.
5643350
Normally I'd excuse something like that as it's a fantasy setting, but seeing as Chris thinks his comic is real it serves as a critique of his science knowledge.
5643370
A troll once impersonated Mao.
5643401
Or lack of scientific knowledge. I enjoy a fantasy setting here and there but I honestly appreciate those that that at least try to add some real logic behind it.
5643405
Tolkien, for instance. Alas, Chris Chan is not Tolkien and CWCVille is not Middle-Earth.
5643402
And that's one of the least weird things about Chris Chan...
Also, I just remembered why my first thought was Mao (context is for the weak):

For some reason, people really seem to get a kick out of reading these. So, we'll be going over my grievances for Sonichu #12. And, boy, do I have them this time:
And there you have it. This was a bad one, because it actually slightly offended me a few times. I'll pack up the remainder of my brain cells and move on with my life.

And Chris is definitely not The Reverend and CWCVille is not The RWS

Alas, link is broken.

Funny you should mention him, as The Rev. Awdry was heavily inspired by Tolkien's approach to world building.

Wow! I’m impressed!

I'd recommend reading Tolkien's essay On Fairy Stories for an insight into his creative process. Safe to say Chris never spent anywhere near as much time on developing his fictional worlds (it takes time. Creating fiction that feels alive and real is hard).

I should really look into that story.
Honestly, I give Chris a few points for his efforts, but it sadly wasn’t enough. And I definitely know about that kind fo thing. I mean in my case it can apply to trying to create different planets or systems to have in the Star Wars universe.

I agree.

It's because you express the issues in such a witty way. You have a way with words that a lot of people here lack.
1. Chris truly has the mind of a child in that regard. It's like that scene in the second Lego Movie where a character is constantly insisting they aren't evil, and to nobody's surprise nobody believes her.
2. Well put. Real people lie somewhere inbetween where Chris puts them. I suspect his bizarre misandry comes from the fact most of his bullies at school were boys.
3. I had never noticed the resemblance until now. Chris also makes me think of Truman Burbank. However, I suspect Chris lacks the Cable Guy's competence or intelligence.
4. They constitute the 99.999999999996% of males Chris hates, all because they are better than him and, deep down, I think he knows it.
5. Hell, do not take advice from Sonichu, period.
6. Chris gets all his knowledge of bullying from TV, remember? Bullies also sometimes lash out as they are being bullied themselves (Babs Seed comes to mind).
7. Colour coordination is something that Chris does seem to be very good at, I'll give him that.
8. As revealed in Sonichu #8, Sonichus do indeed have retractable genetalia. Having said that, in order to do the business in the short time between the hug and the evolution ending would suggest that Sonichus climax fast or that Chris doesn't know shit about biology (it typically takes him much longer, according to the CWCki experts).
9. It also helped to make Chris even fatter!
10. And locked in a pyshic nullifier, like Yuri was at the end of Red Alert 2.
11. Who cares>
12. Maybe Sonic had a few breaks? As of Sonic Forces (which was released a few months after this comic came out) Sonic uses punches and kicks as part of his fighting style on top of homing attacks and stomps.
13.
14. Sonichu is one gigantic lawsuit waiting to happen.
15. I don't know what was sadder; him getting so enraged over something that doesn't matter, or the fact it never occured to him that he was the only one who felt that way.
16. Because he can't even hold a pen properly;

Try drawing whilst holding a pen like that and see how long it takes to get carpal tunnel syndrome.
17. Chris attempted to ask Yuri Geller for help developing his psychic powers. Geller told Chris to stop wasting his time.
18. If he did that, people could get interpretations that are not TRUE and HONEST.
19. You said it, mate. Stereotypes are not universal; it's in the name.
20. Chris' brain seems to be stuck at that point in development where a child thinks they are a godlike, unstoppable being.
21. I gave up with my counters as by this point they were OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!
22. I suggest giving the original comic he ripped off a read, as that actually delves into the consequences of such a situation.
23. According to Christorians more veteran than I, it gives a very good insight into the way Chris thinks and behaves.
24. It was done entirely to appeal to one troll, and a person who barely understands biology should not write a weight gain story.
25. Herein lies the problem. If Chris had just borrowed the artstyle from Sonic games and used some plot elements (let's face it, Sonic games don't exactly have the most profound or original storylines), he probably would be in the clear. It's his failure to realise that mushing two copyrighted things together does not create a new thing that is the problem.
I hope you've got enough left to make it through the remaining six issues, the Specials, and the retcons.
