Early New Year's resolutions, and Old Year's conclusions

Well, another year's come and gone. How did the resolutions go? Half and half in my case. Managed to partially accomplish what I set out to do, moving from wondering how to do things to figuring out what to do. I believe I've successfully identified the habits that are hampering or even harmful to me, so that's progress.

    Resolutions for the new year?

Summer update 2: What's Sticking to the Wall?

    Quick update on future plans.

Still working on the original stuff, I think I'm down to the last rewrite of what I wanted to do, only question is what to change in terms of details. Art's had some progress, but work responsibilities and sweet, sweet sleeping problems have caused disruptions.

    Summer update: what next?

Honestly? Not sure. I never publish anything that's not complete, so I'm not breaking any promises there. Thing is, I haven't started on anything new yet, and hadn't lined anything up before the previous one.

War of the Mark: release date projection · 8:57am Feb 20th, 2022

Okay, small but important update:

Part 3 of the Bastion trilogy, and the final piece of Faux Pas' legacy, is as good as done, in first draft. I've gotten eight out of nine chapters done, the last one was written in one go yesterday. Yeah, turns out I can hit 3k words in one day if I use that little trick I mentioned earlier, it's weird. I kinda feel like my old self again in that respect, still working on the others.

Anywho, finishing chapter 9 will be the goal for this coming week, and editing and finalising everything, consistency edits mostly, will be done once that's through. I'm aiming to publish this story at the latest on Monday the 28th of February.

This one's been a long time coming, and it's been a mixed bag. I mean, fellow writers recommend you kill your darlings, but, umm... I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be as literal as this story. Some scenes really hurt to write, and editing them will likely hurt more. But it's close to done, at least, and hopefully it'll all have a good impact on the readers, too. I'll see about my next big project once it's out and finished.

Oh, and we are in the middle of the Eunice thing here, there's been a lot of wind and rain, but I happen to be fortunate enough to not suffer any damage as of yet, so no need to worry on my part. Apparently my workplace lost a roof somewhere, but we're still homeworking for the most part, so it didn't shut anything down there, either. We'll know more about the nitty-gritty of it all next week.

Cracker out, enjoy the music if it's your jam.
