Yellow symbolizes fear and Sonata is shown to be the most cowardly member of the Dazzlings.

Therefore, she can use her own fears to power a Yellow Ring and once she has mastered it, she would no doubt get a kick out of inflicting fear on others , especially her sisters who have bullied her for a long time.
