Grieving is Weird · 12:16am Jan 26th, 2022
When a person I have a connection with dies, my neurons in charge of logic run on overdrive. This leaves my neurons in charge of emotional response silent or shut away.
Scoffer: "If you really cared about them, you'd be crying right now!"
Me: "Crocodile tears is what your Hallmark feces is. Crocodile, attention-seeking, overdramatic, Karen-manager-demanding... tears. Now excuse me while my internal logic finds up to fifty different objective-based tasks to complete."
...
Everybody grieves differently. Corollary: The same person can grieve differently depending on the situation.
