Update: Our other dog is about to move on... · 1:54am Jan 25th, 2022

Hey everyone,

I know it's been a while since I last updated. In addition to school and work, there's just been a bunch of other things happening in my personal life. One of which involves a situation similar to what happened at the tail-end of 2019 for me. Our other dog, Hunter, the half-brother of the one who died back then, seems like he's reached the end of the line.

He's lethargic, unable to stand and walk properly, hasn't been accepting any food, and is no longer really able to do much. We've tried to accommodate him as best as we could, but honestly... he's over twelve years old, and it seems like he's ready to go. My parents think it would be humane to have him put down peacefully, just so he won't suffer any longer.

I guess one of the silver linings is our new blue lacy dog, Chloe, is a little over a year old, and still hyper-energetic, always loving to play. And now that she's older, she's become more responsible, no longer biting and chewing up home decorations. I'm not really sure how she'll cope with Hunter gone, or if she'll even notice, as it seems like she hasn't been paying too much attention to him.

Just thought I'd let you all know, in case you were curious about what was going on with me. I've been preparing myself for this, and yet I know I'll experience the sense of loss all over again. But I came to terms with it the first time, and I will do so again. Though our other dog, Toby, was my favorite of the two, I know I'll still really miss Hunter when his time comes.

So, yeah... that's what's been happening with me lately. I'll be sure to post an update after everything goes down concerning him.
