The last few days have been a major joy to yer ol' Dafaddah:
- The Pro and Anti TCB groups seem to have buried the hatchet. There are folks I respect on both sides of that divide, but the exchanges had often become bitter (mea culpa). This restores (for me at least) some of the feelings I had about the FIMFiction community when I joined a year ago, and that had been tarnished by this whole debacle.
- I have just published a new chapter in my Box of Chocolates entitled "Hearth's Warming Eve Carols". I have also started a thread to see if anypony else wants to contribute. Please keep in mind my disclaimer: I was born and raised catholic so I want to make be clear that any submission must respect BOTH the source material AND the MLP:FIM canon. A note to make things easier (and less religiously awkward): I redirect all reference of worship to Harmony and not to the Princesses, as they clearly don't seek worship in the cannon, and exchange the central event "the birth of Jesus" for "the birth of Equestria".
- The next chapter of Renaissance Pony is in edit stage and essentially follows the events of Hearth's Warming Eve as they could have occurred "historically". I take the HWE pageant to be an allegory of the actual events (written by Celestia and Luna?), so what happens follows the spirit of the HWE pageant, but does not take it as a literal representation. Of course, I know this is likely to generate some flames. I'll survive.
