Things that I wanted to write this year that I couldn't. · 3:00am Jan 1st, 2022

I wanted to write an Alternate Universe where the Storm King and Tempest Shadow (Fizzle Pop Berry Twist.) Tried to invade Equestria and were stopped dead on their tracks on the East Coast.

And I wanted a non-gun melee and magick fight between Folklore and Tempest. The idea of it was that Folklore allowed himself to get captured and secretly interrogated her as she was interrogating him. He read her like a book and played her like a fiddle.

And once things started this came to mind.

By the end, they are both sweaty and somewhat bruised and bloodied.

Folklore talks her down and basically explains to her that a magickally attuned silver prosthesis added to her horn would have done the trick. Had she come back to Equestria after she had gotten the money through mercenary work before meeting the Storm King she could have easily afforded the prosthesis and surgery in Mareachussets or Manehattan and it would have been a done deal.

They both share a Cherry Cola, and Folklore gives her a deal. Ms. Fizzle can either help him with the assassination mission against the Storm King called Operation Lightningrod and become a permanent O.S.S. Field Officer or she can stand trial for treason. As even if she still left the country for years on end she still plotted with a foreign power to essentially annex Equestria.

-------

Another thing is the fight between a growing Spike and Folklore after he sees Rarity in a happy relationship and all the feelings he suppressed once it was clear he had no chance because he was a kid came bubbling to the surface, and out of all ponies, the godforsaken Cutie Map called Folklore.

Folklore goes to talk to Spike, but because Folklore is being an arsehole, and Spike is being a self-loathing crybaby it turned into a bloody fist and magick fight.

What happens though is that it end with Folklore not only giving Spike a reality check but also making two things clear. That he is currently the only living son of Princess Celestia, that even if he was adopted he is still Dragul Solaris the heir to her legacy bearing the actual rulership of Equestria. And that he has endless potential to be more than a dragon or a prince, to be a hero, and that means that he doesn't need Rarity's love, mares will flock to him with enough good publicity. All that Spike has to do to reach his potential is to let Folklore train him, and spend more time with his mother.

He then leaves Ponyville to essentially find true purpose and see that heroism was more important to him than Rarity ever was.

--------

The reason is that I felt that the MLP movie had plenty of lost potential, and also because I wanted someone to beat some sense into Spike and teach him what it means to actually be a man.

Now I will be accused of being a narcissist... Also Happy new year.

I will. I mean that is the idea. Though they are controversial ideas around here. That being that I'm changing the plot of the well-received MLP movie (that isn't canon in my works) because I want a fight to happen. And even more controversial, is having Spike face his crush with Rarity in a negative way, and he has to have his ass kicked and is given a male role model that is going to beat him into shape into his full potential. The fact that I decided that at some point Folklore will retire and die and his apprentice will become the greatest Occult Investigator in the world, and that happens to be Spike might not also be well recieved.
