WIP: Celestia x Thorax - Pre-readers and Editors wanted · 10:43pm Dec 23rd, 2021
Working on my first fic. It is going to be a NSFW piece featuring Celestia and Thorax. I am super hyped to write about this unusual pair.
I am looking for pre-readers and editors, shoot me a message if you're available.
My goal is to learn and improve.
Love,
Filly
Hi there! Don't be scared, just randomly wandering around the site. However, note that your profile page usually sees very little traffic, especially if you're a new writer (Welcome!) who may not be very active in groups and such. This means that few editors will come across this request in your blog. Better go ahead and reach out to them in groups where they gather, such as this one. Also, if you want to be successful with finding a good editor, try to add an estimate of how long is the fic going to be, what NSFW (as well as SFW) themes are present in the story, and so on. Also, a word of advice: Most paid editors on this site are not worth their salt--in fact, there's only one exception to this that I can think of. So, don't think that a paid editor necessarily means better quality. Personally, I cannot offer my editing services at the moment, but if you want some writing tips, I believe I can provide some.
Also, it's great to see that you want to learn and improve!

Thank you for your kind words and advice. I just started to build this profile here. I will try to be more active.
I guess it is not exactly the best time of the year to get anyone to spend any of their free time chewing through my stuff.
BTW, my fic is already around the 7k words mark. It should not be getting any longer. I mostly do edits, work on flow and dialog, and try to get my English together. While I also read some material on how one should write. Oh, and I am waiting for the cover art.

You’re welcome!
And yes, it takes a while till you establish a fanbase/become acquainted with some folks here. Still, remember that blogs in general don’t see much traffic.
Furthermore, holidays and writing events like Jinglemas mean that most editors are flooded with work, though I believe you should be able to find someone in a few days. The story is also fairly short, so that’s a plus. (I admit I’m a rather bad gauge of general editor busyness, since I’ve been editing around 20–70 pages per day for the last three months or so. )
Also, if you want some extra materials on how to write, I have a few short writing guides of sorts saved up in my blogs.

Thanks, I will check them out.
20-70 pages a day sounds plenty. You must have a Time-Turner.

Heh, I've been told this repeatedly. Funny thing is, a story/chapter the length of 20 pages may take about an hour or two to go through if it's written well. On the other hand, if a story is riddled with errors, going through a single page may take a whole day.
