"I was wondering if you'd enjoy having some tea and biscuits in my room. I've some work to do and I needn't do it by myself if you'd want to help."
*Standing nearby, staring* "...Um... Fortuna? Did Kydra slip some kind of language barrier potion in your water this morning?"
"What? No. Are you feeling ill, Cellus? Maybe you ought to have a lie down-"
"Mom, she's talking about your accent."
"Yeah, um, where did that come from?"
"What're you on about? I don't have an accent."
"Mum. Stop kidding around."
"Okay, okay, fine. If you must know, Ocellus, my mother lived undercover in Canterlot for a number of years, spent some time at university and such. She picked up a bit of speech patterns from the locals, then passed that to me when I came 'round."
"Ohhhh...but...wait, I've heard you speak in...not an accent before."
"I can talk like you lot when I want, but it takes effort, I'd rather not bother with it all the time. Now, as I was saying, biscuits and tea in my room, Phary?"
"Sure mom, let's go."
