Snow Party Countdown: Day 1 · 2:47am Dec 2nd, 2021

Guess who got the G5 MLP Advent calendar?

I've mentioned that it was an upcoming product a few times in the last few months, because it's relevant to a few of my stories. Actually, between Minty and Snowcatcher, it's relevant to a lot of my stories. For the first time in a decade, there's a new Snowcatcher toy available. Sometime in the next 24 days we're going to see her. Spoiler alert: it won't be today. However! I have written a story starring today's character.

Right now, it looks nice and pretty. But mark my words, in another three and half weeks, this box is going to have more holes in it than Queen Chrysalis' legs.

As the main character of G5, starting things off with Sunny Starscout on the first day makes sense. This is now the second Sunny Starscout in my collection, joining a brushable purchased a few months ago. I give molded hair a pass when it comes on blind bags (or, in this case, even smaller toys!) due to their size, but on a regular size MLP figure it has to have brushable hair or it doesn't belong in my collection (I'm very disappointed that Hitch is only available with molded hair, and that he's the only one in the set who doesn't have brushable hair).

Yes, she's standing on the little triangular door she was hidden behind.

Regardless, shes adorable. First one in hand, and I'm not regretting picking this set up. I'm not exactly thrilled with the concept of 'animals with unicorn horns' but at least I get sixteen ponies. One of whom is the star of 16, which just makes it even better (even if she's the only one* of our cast to show up).

*Minty has a cameo in 16, so technically two cast members here.

I guess I'm committing to doing a daily unboxing for the next three and a half weeks. That's going to get a little tricky from the 16th-19th as I'll be traveling. If you're looking at those dates and putting two and two together, yes the answer to that equation is four.

Have fun. :)

And regarding the travelling, have a good trip! I'm not getting the significance of those dates, though, sorry.
