Something I never knew I needed: WW1 Bloodborne · 6:24am Nov 16th, 2021

...and we won't come back till it's over. Over there...

The Mark V

Tank fight:

Mark V: so the idea behind this is you’re traversing nomansland, its smoky and you can’t see for shit, you come to an area with body parts and craters strewn about. In the centre there’s a knocked out Mark V tank, but when you approach it it starts up and turns toward you. Your pistol won’t do much to it so you grab a Tank rifle from one of the bodies and take it on. The tank can fire ranged attacks at you but will also try to run you down (obviously the actual tank is slow af but this is magic lol)

The Red Baron & The Angel of Mons

Air combat:

Red Baron: NPC, hunters are in an uneasy alliance (clearly) but they do follow a code of conduct. The Baron is wary of you (the player) because you’re on the opposing side, but he respects you as a combatant and a hunter and teaches you the art of arial hunting. (He could be sort of an anti hero that you have to fight a couple times over the course of the game.)

Eventually there’s an aerial hunt mission where you and your squadron are attacked by The Angel on Mons, the rest of the squad is destroyed and you have no way of hurting the thing so you play through an evading arial acrobatic style element. Eventually the Angel downs your plane and you crash land but before it can kill you the Red Baron shows up to save your ass. (The player) then takes control of the Red Baron who can actually hurt the boss, eventually you defeat the angel but it revives itself (Sekiro great ape style) and in the end the Red Baron flies straight into the thing and whatever magic fuel the hunter planes use is highly explosive, both he and the angel are obliterated leaving you with only his medal.

(Commentary from a comment too good not to add.) From Bitter-Sweets on Reddit:
Hospital wards, the trenches, A FOGGY, ENDLESS NO MAN'S LAND. Coupled with eldritch, maybe old folktale demons and beings would be SO SICK if this were to be the sequel.

There is so much you could easily build upon in this and I would definitely pay to get it.

This is somewhat underestimating tanks; while they probably don't have the acceleration to pull this off in any reasonably-sized boss arena, top speed is another story.

So... Bloodborne 2? God that would be so awesome...
