My TV Show Rating Score:

5/5: It is an awesome show!
4/5: It’s a good show with minor flaws
3/5: It’s overall okay/guilty pleasure
2/5: It’s bad but not awful
1/5: Look, up in the sky! It’s super bad!
0/5: MY EYEEEESSS!!!

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen! This is Mr. J here with another tv show review on this Disney Friday! This is of course one of the most famous and legendary Disney shows called Gravity Falls. This cartoon show was created by Alex Hirsch who voiced three primary characters in this series whom I will mention later. Although he isn’t one of my favorite voice actors, he is truly a talented gentleman with a great sense of humor and personality. Seeing his work he created from 2012 to 2016 really shows how dedicated he was to this show which he still loves to this day.

As for this show in particular, this is perhaps now my favorite Disney show ever. In fact, it is one of the only shows I actually like (besides The Owl House, Amphibia, and The Lion Guard). Gravity Falls has so much lore and mystery surrounding it and gives viewers a sense of what’s happening outside of the setting of the story and makes us want to dig deeper within the mysterious secrets that the show seems to have here and there.

This is about two twelve-year-old kids who stay with their Grunkle Stan (voiced by Alex Hirsch) within the shack that has all sorts of old objects that are on display as exhibits. Dipper (voiced by Jason Ritter) is a studious, nerdy boy who is always cautious about everything, and Mabel is a happy, bubbly girl who is basically naive and optimistic. Not to mention who flirts with boys at any chance she gets. Sheesh...

I love both of these characters. But if I have to choose a favorite, it would be Mabel because of her personality. Every time I hear Kristen Schaal’s voice in any animated character, I would think of Mabel.

The animation is amazing, and the soundtrack used in every episode is pretty decent to say the least.

I also love Soos (also voiced by Alex Hirsch). He is both funny, dumb, and yet helpful in his own way. I’m just surprised at how talented Hirsch is when he uses a distinct, unique voice for every character—major or minor—he voices. You can’t really tell if it’s him or not. It’s like he actually becomes the characters themselves and is lost in them. Imagine hearing multiple people in a room, you come downstairs, and you see it’s just only one guy. Funny, isn’t it?

But my most favorite character is Bill Cipher himself:

He is honestly one of the best Disney villains to exist in animation history. His voice, personality, and mindset clearly indicate just how deliciously evil, chaotic, sinister, sarcastic, and devious he is. Following Scar and Frollo, this dorito is definitely in my top three favorite Disney villains. Alex Hirsch did a fantastic performance as Bill. I don’t know about you, but this guy is everywhere in the Disney universe. You see his cameos in one show and in another show and his presence is felt throughout this show as well. You see tiny pictures, silhouettes, and symbols represented in each episode even when he makes no appearance. Let me tell ya, even when he may appear as friendly, never mess with this dude. EVER!

As for Grunkle Stan, he is probably the most complicated character in the whole series. He is a selfish, covetous, and greedy bastard who cons people for money so that he can sustain his business. However, despite his harsh demeanor, he deep down loves Dipper and Mabel and tries to look after them. Especially when he was secretly trying to rescue his long-lost twin brother from the portal, you see that he does have a heart and tries to do the right thing. During the second season, his relationship with Ford (voiced by JK Simmons) is both complex, well-written, and strong although very rough considering all the wrongs he did to him in the past.

This show shows us the profound impact family has on our lives and just how fun it is to be mystery-solvers wherever we go. No matter the rough exterior or the weird shenanigans that occur in our lives, if we stick together and never give up, things will go quite smoothly. Now imagine how terrifying it would be if Bill Cipher actually does exist....

Overall, this show is both mysterious, amazing, and fun at the same time. I recommend this to anyone interested in this show and would love to learn of its lore and story. I give this a 5/5: Bill Cipher approved!

Now Bill himself will conclude this review with these words:

Not bad, Joker. I am deeply flattered if I do say so myself. The only thing I’ll say is this: Reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram! Buy gold! Bye!!

I'll just leave a comment here saying that I have Journal 3 in my room right now.

Yeee

Agreed, this was a great show, and I actually have some OCs that fit into the whole extradimensional creatures you find in Gravity Falls, the three of them are rulers of the 5th dimension, which is very similar to the mindscape prison Mabel was in, anything is possible with the proper imagination. Similar to Alien X from Ben 10, there's Hex, the Voice of Reason, Nox, the Voice of Chaos, and Pax, the Voice of Order. Since imagination controls the fabric of reality within the 5th dimension, the three of them have to agree to a course of action in the event that they need to intervene to keep the 5th Dimension safe

That Bill Cipher, I tell ya... he's a menace! A fiend!

Gravity Falls, a show that has only one flaw, and that being that it only had 2 seasons. Still an amazing show, even if it ended kinda early.

Alex Hirsch wanted to end it with two seasons. Quality over quantity, you know.

I love this cartoon. And I'm not afraid of you, Bill.

I know. And the quality is undeniable

I was never interested in this program since childhood, to be honest. As a matter of fact, any commercials for it that I saw when I was a kid were ones that I found to be incredibly creepy, which kinda caused me to steer away from it more than get drawn into it.

However, considering the immense popularity and cultural significance of it, I'll still find the time to check the show out myself and review it.

This show is one of the best Diseny show I ever show
