Hey Folks!
I have attempted something completely new and fresh; writing for G5. I haven't finished just yet... 
but I have begun. Sort of wanted to make an announcement cause I'm way too excited for it to be out. The character I have chosen to focus on has apparently never been written for; which gives me a lot liberty for her character. Don't wanna spoil it but... I do at the same time... so to contain that part of me, here you go; a teaser for it
Teaser of The Spread of Sweetness
After giving modeling a shot and that falling quite short, Moonlight had decided that her Cutie Mark had claimed the wrong pony and called her search to an abrupt holt. She settled down at her ordinary smoothie store, around town. There she meets a pair who gives her something needed at a time of self doubt, such as this
This story takes place a few days or weeks (Whichever you want to think it is) after the events of the MLP A New Generation Movie
This is something the show itself did but I wasn't that satisfied, so, I wanted to try it for myself.
This story focuses on Sugar Moonlight, one of the model ponies for Phyllis Cloverleaf. She got very, very little screen time, but I really liked her design and so googled her. There I found an image that gave me a few ideas, but this story didn't hit me until maybe a few days ago. I honestly, didn't want to make it into a story, just a mere headcanon, but after a few more days of pondering, I figured, why not.
Like I mentioned earlier I haven't seen many, if any, stories with her in it as a lead role and figured I could try it out. The traits I wanna give for her are mainly from what I could tell from that little scene we got of her. Ima say she's confident and bold, that was what I picked up from her modeling thing, a few other things I, personally, wanna give her are; passionate in what she loves, very laid back, but knows how to kick it to high gear, when she feels it, she's also easily misguided and gives into fear quite quickly; hence the happenings in the movie.
I plan on getting it out sooner rather than later, but got no due date as to when I plan to get it out, like always...

The Spread of Sweetness
Hey, sorry to bother, I thought I'd ask someone more recently invested in the community. How was G5 received? Were people generally positive and excited for it? Is it getting much of a splash in bring culture?
I haven't been active in the fandom for years, so I was curious about it.

Hmm.... I'm not completely certain on that, but I'm pretty sure it was something people were hyped for, I sure was. As far as I've seen its been received quiet nicely, (Key Words; As far as I've seen) One thing I can tell you for sure is that this movie was much better received, outside the fandom, than the 2017th one. As for that last question; I have absolutely no clue, for what its done to the fandom and all the culture we have.

No problem! That was a good answer. I've asked this question to a few people of different backgrounds, and it's nice to have a perspective from someone more laid back, like you seem to be.
