Update to the Weekend Update :) · 4:00am Sep 21st, 2021
Ponified Without Consent 2
Should update this week, I got distracted by juggling lots of stories to write, read, and MLP season to watch so I can remember what the hell the continuity is. (At the moment I can only write season 1-4 because I'd totally botch the timeline on anything post-Tirek.)
Will try to update every 1-2 weeks.
Twilight's Dollhouse 2
The story is getting too complex to update without better planning. I keep forgetting ponies (Spike, Silver) who should be important to Twilight. I actually forgot Trixie at first, and only wrote her back in after re-reading the first 6 chapters. I don't want to rush it and leave a bunch of loose plot threads.
So I may take a week or two to shore up the outline before another update. Will try to update every 1-2 weeks.
Dash of Humanity 2
I can't stop thinking about revisions, so I'm going to make a revised manuscript where ~5k words get changed and a couple new chapters. I don't want to change any plot points, I just want to touch up the contrived way I got to those points in chapter 10-13.
Once I have a revised manuscript, I'll decide if it's worth publishing, but at least I won't be constantly distracted by it anymore so I can work on...
Dash of Humanity 3 replacement
I wrote the first chapter rough draft! I enjoyed writing it a lot, who knew you could enjoy writing? I may send it to some proofreaders to see if it matches the tone/comedy of DoH1. I won't publish it until I have more chapters written as a buffer, or even the whole story, but I'm excited.
Imagine Dawn actually having a good time and an adventure in Equestria without being scarred for life.
It's about time!
🙌
You want me to get rid of that one abomination? You remember the one I wrote, don't you?

That's an interesting question, I don't think I am going to remove Dash of Humanity 3: Consequences (or Monster), I would just make it like a non-canon spin-off? I know people enjoyed it, and they must have enjoyed your companion story. I got comments that it's much better to show Dark subject matter than to shy away from it and time-skip past it.
I think it's more that I wouldn't enjoy writing it to complete the story right now. It could very well succeed in being a dark story about dealing with serious issues and traumas. I may do my comedy re-write, and then decide I really want to finish the darker version of events. Or I may not.
We could chat about where I saw the story and where you saw it going and maybe there's some merits to the dark story I overlooked. At the time since I was dealing with a rape, I didn't want to have any comedy or clop in the story that would marginalize a serious issue. But that also fundamentally altered the core genre of the series that everyone enjoyed, from a smartass comedy to an existential look into dealing with deep emotional traumas.
