But as I grew up I learned about two stories, The first one was that my uncle had stuck in traffic that day and miss his normal train into the city. He worked in the north build. But he was late and never got to work. Years late

    Finding Home

Home is, I suppose just a child's idea. A house at night, and a lamp in the house. A place to feel safe.

It is strange feeling 20 Years ago I was 5 years old in school not knowing nor under standing what had happened. Not knowing how close 09/11/2001 would hit home for me. But as I grew up I learned about two stories, The first one was that my uncle had stuck in traffic that day and miss his normal train into the city. He worked in the north build. But he was late and never got to work. Years late when I met first girlfriend's mother. She was due to fly home on one of the plane that would be use in the attack. But instead she changed flights to get home early. I nearly lost two people who have had big impacts in my life. Now I sit 20 years later as EMT (in NY and CT) almost done with my Fire 1 class and testing to become a firefighter in two months. It's a bit surreal looking at this day. I hope I can be as brave as they where that day.

343 firefighters, 37 police officers of the Port Authority, 23 police officers of the New York City, 8 emergency medical technicians and paramedics, 3 New York State Court Officers, 1 patrolman from the New York Fire Patrol. Never forget theses men and women who selflessly ran towards danger to help others 20 years ago. And the civilians that died that day.
