Mortal Kombat vs. EG, Round Five · 8:52pm Sep 11th, 2021
Hello all. Been a good while since I last posted one of these. Most of that has just been due to summertime stress over IRL stuff, but I finally got some breathing room, and managed to work out a lot of dialogue batches for the various kombatants. Even decided to expand the EG roster somewhat, too! 
I'll be staggering the overall list (characters from both Mortal Kombat 11, and Mortal Kombat X) over a few more posts, but I hope that it'll be fun all the same. 
First up on this particular roster?
The stoic mentor and longtime defender of Earthrealm. Raiden, the god of Thunder.
Raiden: "Celestia is blessed to have your support."
Princess Twilight: "Everypony says that, but I don't know if I believe it yet."
Raiden: "You are too humble, Twilight."
Raiden: "What brings you to Earthrealm, Princess?"
Princess Twilight: "I need to find Shang Tsung, and stop him."
Raiden: "Is justice your cause, or vengeance?"
Gloriosa Daisy: "What is this about? Gaea Everfree is gone for good."
Raiden: "Your resurgent magic may say otherwise."
Gloriosa Daisy: "I won't let anyone get hurt because of me."
Raiden: "Starswirl was right to banish you."
Adagio Dazzle: "Either I am in charge, or no one else is!"
Raiden: "What happens next, is on you."
Sunset Shimmer: "Don't you think you're a little hard on Flash?"
Raiden: "I have lost students before. I will not lose another."
Sunset Shimmer: "He may not be Liu Kang, but don't underestimate him."
Raiden: "How might I assist you, Fluttershy?"
Fluttershy: "Um, Mister Raiden, the other students want to help in the fight."
Raiden: "Then bring them to the Sky Temple for training."
Flash Sentry: "I want to help out, Raiden!"
Raiden: "First, you must continue to train."
Flash Sentry: "No. Training's over. I'm ready here and now."
After him... one of the lady ninjas of the series. A green-clad former assassin for Shao Kahn, she is known by the meaningful name Jade, and she wields a wicked bo staff and speaks with an awesome British-sounding accent.
Jade: "You are untested in the art of kombat."
Rarity: "I've faced more than my fair share of magical menaces, darling."
Jade: "None of them are on Kronika's level, Rarity."
Timber Spruce: "If you're from another dimension, why do you look just like a human?"
Jade: "Edenians are not human, though I admit we share a certain similarity."
Timber Spruce: "Seems awfully convenient, that's for sure."
Jade: "Why do you seek Shang Tsung?"
Princess Twilight: "Because I'm going to free every soul he's taken."
Jade: "For the sake of all realms, may you find him."
Sonata Dusk: "You were an assassin for that Sho King creep?"
Jade: "*Shao Kahn*, and yes, I once served him."
Sonata Dusk: "Ooh. I can't wait to put you under my spell!"
Jade: "Consider having a word with your brother."
Fluttershy: "Oh no. Is he trying to serenade Rainbow again?"
Jade: "How you two are related, is beyond me."
Starlight Glimmer: "I know about wanting to make up for your past."
Jade: "You didn't kill in the service of a tyrant."
Starlight Glimmer: "No. But I *was* a tyrant."
Up next... gonna be dipping into the game's well of villains - and a controversial villain at that, given that this character was... divisively... retconned as being Evil All Along in MK11's "Aftermath" story mode. All the same, despite my own feelings on this particular bit of characterization - all hail the wicked empress Sindel, former bride-by-conquest of Shao Kahn and mother of Kitana.
Sindel: "Come here, you handsome commoner."
Flash Sentry: "Uh! You know I'm still in high school, right?"
Sindel: "Silly boy. An empress can afford to be patient."
Adagio Dazzle: "You're an utterly heartless, treacherous, backstabbing witch!"
Sindel: "My, such condemnation, Siren!"
Adagio Dazzle: "No, not condemnation. Admiration for a master."
Sindel: "How is it that no one has conquered Equestria?"
Princess Twilight: "The magic of friendship has overcome all threats."
Sindel: "Magic of friendship? How adorably quaint."
Gloriosa Daisy: "You killed your own husband to get with *Shao Kahn*?"
Sindel: "Jerrod was a weakling. Killing him freed me from my misery."
Gloriosa Daisy: "How you mothered Kitana, I'll never know."
Sindel: "Kneel before your Empress."
Rainbow Dash: "Fat chance, you skunk-haired hag!"
Sindel: "For that, I'll have your impudent tongue ripped out."
Sindel: "Submit, and be rewarded in my new empire."
Rainbow Dash: "Like I'll ever turn on my friends."
Sindel: "I can be *very* persuasive when I want something, dear..."
Applejack: "You backstabbed your own family?"
Sindel: "Family isn't everything, you foolish girl."
Applejack: "Gonna have no problem with taking you down."
Next on the agenda-- one of the most iconic, and just plain FREAKY, members of the female cast of fighters. She looks like Kitana in almost every way, except for a mouth full of hideous fangs. She's yet another reason why clones are a very bad idea to meddle with... And she's about as sane as the Joker on a good day, or Harley Quinn on a very bad day.
I give you, Mileena.
Mileena: "Sindel will pay you most handsomely."
Rarity: "And if I displease her in any way, she'll have my head!"
Mileena: "Haven't you ever heard? No risk, no reward."
Sunset Shimmer: "You're making a huge mistake, obeying Shao Kahn."
Mileena: "His empire will be my inheritance, foolish girl!"
Sunset Shimmer: "It's a house of cards just waiting to fall down."
Mileena: "You look saddened, little girl."
Fluttershy: "I feel sorry for you, Mileena."
Mileena: "Will you still pity me, when I spill your innards?"
Aria Blaze: "*You're* Kitana's sister?"
Mileena: "At least until I end her life."
Aria Blaze: "And I thought Adagio and Sonata were the worst."
Mileena: "Your flesh looks inviting."
Pinkie Pie: "I'm sweet, but not THAT kind of sweet!"
Mileena: "I will have what I want, human!"
Mileena: "Come, play with me, Pinkie!"
Pinkie Pie: "I think your idea of playtime is not a fun one."
Mileena: "Ohh! Pinkie Pie, afraid of a party?"
Trixie: "Trixie has been told you're some kind of freak?"
Mileena: "Who said so!? I will tear out their lying throats!!"
Trixie: "...Well then. Trixie regrets saying so now."
Another villainous fighter on the list now. A former pupil of Sub-Zero's, turned to evil, and even a villainous cyborg to boot - along with an ego that Anakin Skywalker would find excessive! 
Welcome, Frost.

Frost: "Celestia's bootlicker, in the flesh."
Princess Twilight: "It's no crime to be loyal."
Frost: "It is when you let them hold you back."
Aria Blaze: "I can't believe Sub-Zero ever put up with you."
Frost: "He sought to constrain my power."
Aria Blaze: "Face facts, ice queen - you were a pity case."
Frost: "Your arrogance disgusts me."
Rainbow Dash: "Look who's talking, you jumped-up tin can!"
Frost: "Wrong answer, you little brat."
Rarity: "Ugh, darling! What have you done to yourself!?"
Frost: "I evolved, you vapid diva."
Rarity: "Turned yourself into an abomination, you mean."
Rarity: "What would your parents say if they could see you?"
Frost: "I killed my mother when I was twelve."
Rarity: "I had to ask. I just *had* to ask!"
Frost: "Our so-called mentors failed us."
Sunset Shimmer: "No, I failed Celestia. You failed Sub-Zero."
Frost: "You know nothing, liar!"
Frost: "Jealous of my power?"
Sunset Shimmer: "Sorry that you did this to yourself."
Frost: "Nobody pities me!"
Sci-Twi: "You *let* Kronika do this to you?"
Frost: "Kronika perfected me, you foolish girl."
Sci-Twi: "No, Frost. She just removed the last of your humanity."
Final fighter on this post. One of the iconic fighters from the classic era of the series, and the penultimate boss of the very first Mortal Kombat to boot. He's big, he's strong as hell, he's got four arms, and he lives for the thrill of the fight.
I give you -- Goro.
Goro: "Prepare yourself!"
Rainbow Dash: "Wait, that's it? No big speech?"
Goro: "I fight. That is all."
Adagio Dazzle: "A pleasure to meet you, My Prince."
Goro: "I despise flatterers!"
Adagio Dazzle: "Then let's get right down to business..."
Goro: "You exude powerful magic."
Sci-Twi: "I do? I-I mean, right!"
Goro: "It will not be enough."
Trixie: "Ahh, your Majesty! Trrrixie has come to entertain you!"
Goro: "Begone, jester!"
Trixie: "Jester!? Trixie is a great and powerful magician!!"
Goro: "Hail, Princess Twilight."
Princess Twilight: "Tell me where to find Shang Tsung."
Goro: "Best me, and I will tell you."
Flash Sentry: "Do we really have to fight?"
Goro: "Test your might, or admit your cowardice."
Flash Sentry: "I think I'll take a third option."
Flash Sentry: "Jeez, you're a big guy."
Goro: "Afraid, Earthrealmer?"
Flash Sentry: "Yeah, but I'm not gonna just give up."

Yeah. Sindel in MK11 definitely comes off as rather flirtatious, even kinda thirsty, towards some of the male kombatants. (Though also with the implication that she's a serious dominatrix as well.)

Not sure I'd call a power that turned a being that's basically akin to a mad God into a stone statue twice quaint.
Can't help but feel someone as straightforward as Goro would appreciate the honesty. He'll probably still beat him to a pulp, but, still.

And yeah, I'd personally agree with you on the magic of friendship thing, but it does seem like the exact thing that Sindel would say in response to those words. She OOZES "evil queen" in nearly everything she says and does.
Fair enough about Goro. I kinda flipped a coin on how he'd react there. He's *very* straightforward, true, but he has proven to be arrogant in plenty of other interactions with the fighters elsewhere. (He really flips his lid in one with Liu Kang, when the monk reminds him of Goro having lost to him in the past.)
General rule of thumb with Goro, at any rate, is that he doesn't think much of humans. So against Flash, a normal human who's almost never been in a fight (magical or otherwise), he basically expected him to run.
