Some background music. You're going to need it: we're going to be here a while.

    Status Update, April 2024 Edition

Part of my slowness in writing M.L.G.'s latest chapter is for the usual reasons: tiredness, minor depression, having other things on the mind, that sort of thing. However, in what can only be described as "whimsy", I've recently decided to complete a list of all of the intentional shout-outs and references in the story as of the most recent chapter.

    Something To Think About

I have a message to share with prospective authors. If you go into writing a story---be it as a living, or just for fun---don't automatically assume that what you're doing is wholly original.

    Tired, Running On Empty

That pretty much summarizes my mental state of the past few days. Constantly tired (half due to not getting enough sleep and half due to my walking regimen), and I can't really think of things I want to write for the story. You know you're having trouble finding things to talk about when your brain fishes for tuna, but ends up with guppies instead.

    So INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATED Right Now

I copied the latest chapter of M.L.G. to my flash drive as usual. I took it home with the intent to post it today. I double-click the file.

M.L.G. Character Profile: "Burning Salamandra" · 2:55am Sep 5th, 2021

Name: Drama Heart. Uses "Burning Salamandra" as her stage name, and as such also answers to 'Sally'. Will also accept "Flaming Salamandra" as an alternative in case ponies forget.

Species: Female unicorn

Approximate Age: Early thirties

Coloration: Dull purple coat, lilac mane and tail with two white stripes each. Eyes are a dark magenta.

Cutie mark: A burning 'tragedy'-type theater mask

Special talent: Puppet/doll/mannequin manipulation in general

Accessories: Wears a black bow in her mane when dealing with potential customers. Owns multiple sets of bracelets in different colors, though she prefers the purple ones.

Voice: Arryn Zech as Red Vs. Blue's Dr. Emily Grey, full stop. A sample, for those unfamiliar.

General Description: Was previously a resident of Baltimare before deciding there was a larger audience to be had in Manehattan. May or may not be insane. Runs a theater that specializes in horror shows (and gets her best profits in the days leading up to Nightmare Night), and her passion for the art is evident to everyone she interacts with. When she gets enthusiastic about something, it's difficult to calm her down. Has a naturally straight manestyle, but doesn't feel presentable without messing it up first.

Has a soft spot for those worse off than she is, but it's not evident at first glance---you have to dig for it to find evidence of its presence. Despite her seeming insanity, she's charismatic enough that she has a solid fanbase throughout Manehattan, with Gray Ghost being a part of said fanbase.

(Edited on 9/7/2021 to account for an in-story discrepancy concerning how long her theater has been in operation. Edited 10/16/2021 to replace the video link. Edited 4/15/2022 to account for her name discrepancy in-story.)

You know Dr. greys voice from RvB is actually quite fitting for this character
