Holy crap, I got lucky. · 2:45am Sep 5th, 2021
Had a brief power outage tonight. Happened right out of the blue while I was working on more of the final chapter for Tales from a Double Date. Fortunately, very little was lost, and the worst of the damage appears to be that I now have a DVD that buzzes when I play it in the Blu-Ray player, but that's no big deal.
In any case, said next chapter is currently sitting at a little over four thousand, eight hundred words. And what I wrote today contains an exchange that I'm certain one of my readers will be very pleased to see in regards to the events of this story, and likely one that will be recurring over several future stories. Fingers are crossed that next week will see yet more done for this chapter, and if I'm lucky, it'll be totally done in two. Though given how things are looking with my job and the fact that I already have plans for Tuesday, I'll need as much luck as I can get.
Holy shit, that *is* an incredible amount of luck right there.

Likewise. Work at least shows signs of being less insane this week, as one of our people will be back from vacation, though I still have plenty of other ducks nibbling me to death. We shall see, though - I at least have a plan in place regarding the housemate and her TV viewing habits.
