Pretty specific to wait for a specific number just to get a sequel for a story that the majority of the fans liked. But if fans are really invested in such potential, I can only wish you the very best of luck. Otherwise, if it were up to me, I'd write a follow-up just for the sake that the first story has the 'need' for a sequel and you had so many ideas you couldn't put in your first story when that is what a follow-up is for. And at least doing it on your own terms means you're not creating a story because some hot shot executive DEMANDS for a follow-up for the fans when the fans did not ask for one in the first place. Like going through all the trouble to wait in line for a mall just to get the latest trendy toy that the kids didn't actually 'want' in the beginning, but it's only because the adults themselves want their kids to be 'happy' for them.
