Bronies forever. Even if the fandom has gone down to a simmer.

I track the beginning of the end to Episode 100 (Slice of Life), where Hasbro sang the swan song to the brony community, focusing the content of the show exclusively on the intended audience. Good for them, though, as they managed to keep the main show going for almost a decade, plus several movies and sideshows and a comic book series.

    Adventures in Airbnb hosting...

In Spanish, or at least here in Mexico, we have a saying that said "one bullet wound every trip". Well, for the last three groups, I lost a microwave oven with the first group, the fridge lost its gas with the second one, and a little after Hurricane Grace (I think), the third group comes in, and it turns out that one of the air conditioner units is tripping its circuit breaker. I'll be changing

    Hurricane Grace in Cancun: underwhelming

My home is a ferrocrete fortress, like the average Mexican home.
I only had to board up one window, which is the only window in my home that faces wind and I haven't changed to acrylic.
The wind did rattle my windows, and the wind howled all night through my side alley, but that was perfectly expected.

    Hurricane Delta in Cancun: underwhelming

    Hi.
It wasn't wild. Far milder than it had any right to be, in fact.
Fifteen years ago, Wilma came and I bunkered my home as hard as I could.
Yesterday, Delta came, and didn't have time to bunker that hard my home, and couldn't bunker at all the other house (the house were I spent Wilma).

Today's Earthquake, here in Mexico City

12 days after "the most powerful earthquake to hit Mexico in more than a century", we got a 7.1 eartquake. Softer, but the bloody earthquake had a much, much closer epicentre (like 100km versus some 1,000km). My city is currently in ruins, and I'm afraid of what I will find when I get off work. At least I know my apartment and my various family members and friends are okay as well,

Hurricane Grace in Cancun: underwhelming · 3:11am Aug 20th, 2021

My home is a ferrocrete fortress, like the average Mexican home.
I only had to board up one window, which is the only window in my home that faces wind and I haven't changed to acrylic.
The wind did rattle my windows, and the wind howled all night through my side alley, but that was perfectly expected.
Nonetheless, I couldn't fall asleep until somewhere between 5 and 6AM. All I know is that the sky was beginning to light up.
I woke up at 11am. All my friends began checking in around 11:30AM, all complaining about being unable to sleep.
My mother too complained, but it turned out to be because the winds tossed an empty bucket on her walled roof and it kept dragging around all night.
So, everything's fine.

And yeah, I found a pigeon when I went to walk my dog in the evening. The pigeon got a slight injury on its back. I hope it flies away in a few days, but if it doesn't, I'll name it Axel.
I sincerely hope I didn't just acquire a new pet. Nothing against you, Axel, but I don't want a second pet.
