Something that caught my attention. (MLP: ANG Trailer Spoilers)

So, for those who don't want to be spoiled before the film is released on Netflix, an advanced warning, there are spoilers from the trailer ahead. Also, after seeing the trailer, I have a new drive to do some writing again. Not insane amounts mind you, but it will show that I'M NOT DEAD YET!!!!

Now, for those who have decided they don't mind some spoilers, here is the trailer:

Now, I know everyone caught their own tidbits that they are hypothesizing about the trailer's reveals, and they have every right to wonder what's gonna happen. But here is something that caught my attention. Right after the part where the male character, Hitch says "You're son is safe now ma'am." The little colt looks at the mare with hope in his eyes. When I saw that part, this got me thinking that that was sending a dark underlying message. Now the scene itself is meant to be comedic mind you, with the mare yelling to Hitch "THIS ISN'T MY KIIID!!!" But when seeing that colt's expression in the scene, it made me wonder, is that poor little colt and orphan?

But, most likely, I am reading too much into the situation and that is absolutely not the case. But what do you think when seeing that particular scene, what thoughts go through your head? Yes, I saw the posters that give shout outs to movies like Jaws and Harry Potter, so if your wondering if I noticed those, yes I did. Bu let me hear your thoughts on the subject. In the mean time, I'm gonna get to writing a new chapter for Family of the Night, which will be an alternate scenario to the previous chapter.
