Found the Jackhammer for my Writer's Block · 7:33am Dec 4th, 2012
My schedule's shifted again, and for the first time in a long while, I was able to take a nice, long walk, a couple of hours worth...
... and for the first time in far too long, I've been able to come up with some ideas which, when I wrote them down, I didn't immediately want to delete.
If I can keep this up regularly, it shouldn't be too long before I can re-start writing about Missy and her adventures. And even if I can't keep it up regularly, I at least have my best clue yet about what it takes to kick my mind into proper authorial gear.
Sidenote: Yet another of my eccentricities: I don't seem to actually mind the smell of skunks... though I might change my mind if one ever sprays me directly. I usually start talking or singing when I see one, so it's not startled by suddenly noticing me next to it; but that's not always possible when I'm sitting in a doorway while a flash of rain passes, and one trundles by close enough that I could kick it, were I both cruel and stupid.
cool writers block sucks so, glad you kicked it in its ugly face....skunks on the other hand ya don't kick 'em.
Huzzah.
Allright! :-)
*Skunk walks by* kick it..kick it....kick it.....kick it..... KICK THE FREAKIN SKUNK ALREADY
Yes
The mind runs on stimuli and peace.
I find physical activity helps as well.
Hurrah! Glad to hear you've discovered a successful jackhammer. For both your sake and because I want more Missy (can ya blame me? )
Regularly or not, you know we're a patient happy lot. Long as we know you're alive and the potential for more Missy is in the pipe I don't see there being a big problem.
I don't love the smell of skunks. but I definitely prefer it in the distance than having to bathe a dog who took a blast right in the face
As for kicking them be careful fluttershy doesn't find out. If you did kick it to be fair it'd be far more likely to run than it would to stick about and spray you. Not that anyone should take that as encouragement.
