"This will be my first test." Melody said, speaking into a recorder. Griff was trotting alongside Metamorphosis, taking a walk with him. "Step one..."
Melody clicked on a red laser and shone it out at Griff. He froze, stared at it, then, when she moved it, he began chasing it. Meta giggled and followed as Griff began pouncing on it like a kitten. Meta batted as it as well, and soon the two were chasing it. Melody shrugged.
"Apparently Metamorphosis can react to it as well... step two then."
A ball of yarn was rolled out to the two, and the laser guided them over. Griff pounced immediately and began batting it into the air, while Metamorphosis stood up and watched silently. Melody grinned.
"This experiment has been a success."
Griff was shouting angrily on his phone. "No, if I say I want the red roses then I am getting the red roses!"
Melody was hiding in a tree above him, and whispered into the recorder. "Test two, is an Umbrum's mane really made of fire..."
As Griff yelled, his mane began flowing like flames, the way all Umbrum's did. Slowly, a stick with a marshmallow stuck to the end was lowered over his head. Melody smirked as his mane touched it, and it slowly began to burn. Griff glanced up, seeing the marshmallow.
"...I'm going to have to call you back." Griff hung up, then glared up at the tree. "Mom! I know you're up there!"
Melody squeaked and slipped off the branch, falling to the ground. "...Hey mijo...you come here too...?"
"Mom, is that a marshmallow?"
"...No...?" Melody hesitated, then broke into a run, speeding off. "Meep meep!"
Griff sighed and rolled his eyes, staring at his phone.
