POST-WITCHBLADE TRIOLOGY Q&A - CLOSED · 2:38am Jun 21st, 2021
Greetings my legion! Whew, this trilogy was a wild ride. There were times when it was hard, especially the third installment, I had to kill off TWO of my waifus! Okay, one of them was the human world version, BUT STILL! And then the rest of the girls! Shit, I even cried when I wrote out Adagio's death scene! Yeah, this last part was heavy.
Any how, some of you might have questions regarding the story, the Artifacts, why I did this or that. So, let's get to it. If you have a question I will answer it to the best of my ability. I'll leave this up for the from today to Friday. So, have it, or don't. Completely up to you.
This question doesn't have anything to do with witchblade which I loved it but I was wondering if you were still planning on continuing Aster?
How far ago did you plan for this ending?
5538584 Yes, I am. I'm going to be taking a break for a while and do some editing on the KR Unicorn series, get my Toku mojo flowing again, and I'll probably do some editing work on Aster as well, might do a redesign of Aster while I'm at it.
5538633 Since the beginning, the first story was to introduce Witchblade, the second as to show off the Angelus and the Darkness, and the last would showcase all of the 13 Artifacts and do a rewrite of the world. Getting to that ending was a different story, I was worried that others might think it was a cop out, that I brought about all this death and destruction only to just erase everything that happened over the course of the three - essentially - novel length stories. But I'm comfortable with what I've done, while yes, all the stuff that happened no longer happened, there is still potential for bad stuff to happen because Sunset allowed freewill to continue to exist, rather than do what Cozy wanted and strip it away in pursuit of a stagnant, peaceful world.

Its basically like Crisis of Infinite Earths. Sunset rebooted the universe, sprinkled a few changes to reach her happy ending. Coz the alternative was to leave everyone and the earth dead.
I did enjoy seeing Crystal Prep burned to the ground. Although, how did the Friendship Games play out in this next new world?
5538664 Well, with Principal Cinch gone, and Twilight and Sun more or less reforming the Shadowbolt 5, the school became a way less toxic compared to what it used to be. So when the Friendship Games came around, it was actually friendly. The students of both schools had a good time with some healthy competitiveness on both sides. Of course the final competition came down to both Sunsets, with their respective girlfriends cheering them on to victory. And yes, CHS won, you can't beat the HuMane 6.

5538703 Taking a break as in taking a break. This was only meant to be a trilogy. If I return to Image Comics heroes, it might be from the one of the seven I displayed in the "Splinters" epilogue. As to why the EOH didn't get involved, that's because, compared to the power of the 13, they're irrelevant. They still needed the Element of Magic itself, and for all intents and purposes, Sunset's Element is Empathy, at least that's the consensus so far. And sense Twilight didn't build the device that harnessed all their EOH energies, Sunset couldn't become Daydream Shimmer, which if we're being honest, compared to her Witchblade power, doesn't compare.

I've already hit all the high points of the Witchblade series, the the first activation, the war with the Angelus and the Darkness, and then the 13. If - big IF - I decided to come back to the Image Comics universe, it will be with the one of the seven I showed in Splinters.

After you rest and recoup have you thought of doing another series with bacon hair. I mean your pretty awesome with with fights and creating monsters with interesting abilities and stuff like that so maybe seeing your take on another world like deamon slayer or something could be cool.
