If the main character should have a supportive Cultivation ability, item, person, etc. Yes or No.
If no: Then he will have to struggle to develop himself with what limited knowledge he has while searching for manuals in the old ruins of the lost sects.
If Yes. Pick one of the following options.
1: Kirin Spirits Guiding Him
2: A Perception Based Power That Gives Him Information about people, techniques, styles, items, and so on like an Appraisal power.
3: Lost Souls of Cultivators Offering Him Guidance as he travels, only he can see them.
4: An item that has a spirit that mentors him.
5: An item that acts as a training tool and guide.
6: An ability that lets him comprehend the best-suited training methods for himself and others.
7: An item or place containing scrolls detailing some of the lost cultivation arts of Gaia.
8: An ancient cultivator who offers to teach him for a year.
9: A hidden sect base containing many training grounds and engravings of ancient cultivation techniques.

I'd say he should struggle alone. The world is a harsh place and Discord is most of the time very thorough with his shenanigans.
I say 1, the Kirin Spirits should have been brought over with him. And Maybe he can help his old sect by finding a way to send them back.

Yes and why not have him talk to spirits and or pull an Avatar the Last Airbender by delving inwards to a spirit realm filled with the other souls that went with him.

when I read the first chapter I imagined the kirin spirits to well uh kinda share knowledge with the mc to share important facts about there kind and the importance of the ritual and stuff like that. they be like companions and can take a ghost like thing similar to the ritual cant remember what the actual name for it is
I think the option 2 or 3 have the most potential story-wise.
I say yes with 9 or 1 the others just don't seem to work as well as those options.

Yes, I think it should be 10.
Maybe have Luna connect to him in his dreams. Maybe after her banishment, the recluse cultivators were the only ones still willing to alleviate her loneliness and discuss with her. Which, would give her some insight into cultivation and make her an insightful teacher and a much more serious threat as an antagonist.
This method could also tie into all of the other options. She'd know where the sects are, be a mentor, guide a trustable (the last?) cultivator to useful relics, or even as someone personally connected to a spirit (nightmare) teach him how to listen and learn from the Kirin spirits.
