The Israel/Gaza Situation Has Me Broken

Ignore if you hate this topic. I avoid social media, and I'd rather rant here than the hellhole that is Twitter :rainbowlaugh:

    Already on Step 4

Check this out if you have zero clue what I'm talking about haha.

Did bodyweight squats in front of my physical therapist, and they were good!! Super smooth, great range of motion, and zero tightness for the first few sets. This puts me on step 4 out of 5.

Plan to Cross the Finish Line

Gameplan my physical therapist and I made to overcome my joint issues once and for all. I'd say I'm 90% there, so here is the plan for the last 10%. Primary remaining issue is the left hip weakness causing me to shift much of my weight onto the right hip, which also causes my entire trunk/upper body to twist to compensate for the lean. This messes up my shoulder blade movement as well, leading to

Can Almost See the Light at the End of the Tunnel

After almost a full decade of pain affecting my waking hours, sleep, ability to exercise, and ability to just have fun, I'm almost done!!!!

I define me being done as: Being able to exercise, sleep, stand, sit, lie down, and walk with no pain, instability, or unevenness. It's hard to put a number on a goal like this, but I'd say I'm 85% there.

    Almost Done Beating Genetics

Ughhhhhh why can't I be 100% done, though :raritydespair:

Alright, so despite basically every joint having issues at first, I can minimize the major starting issues to:
    - Right hip tear + instability
    - Left hip tear + instability
    - Left shoulder instability
    - Right shoulder instability

The two bolded ones were the biggest issues. As of now, I have:

Genetics: I Am Now Officially Stronger Than Sombra · 11:48pm May 24th, 2021

Plus little rant in the end

Sombra is using 100lbs. Yesterday I used 107.5lbs for this exercise (the dumbbell handle I used is 7.5lbs). Obviously I'm super proud considering a year ago I had to start this exercise with 3 lbs dumbbells due to my joints. Oh, and I did this while my back and biceps were competely done from a Pull workout the day before :rainbowwild:

Also, my wife can do this with 85 lbs while training super inconsistently (and she's only 5'7 140 - 150 lbs), so that makes me trash-level by comparison :rainbowlaugh:

Honestly, what made me want to make this blog wasn't this lift. Instead, it was when I saw an old high school friend who used to be one of the biggest kids in my school... and I'm now somehow bigger than him :rainbowderp:.

He clearly hasn't been training as intensely since I last saw him years ago, but more than that, I'm actually surprised how quickly I was able to close the gap while still being very limited in how often, how hard, how heavy, and how long I can train due to my EDS/genetic hypermobility. A part of me feels very proud, but at the same time, I don't want to fall into the usual trap where someone becomes above average in something and starts thinking they're elite. Instead, I'd rather compete against the actual elite and get my ass kicked hard.

I'm thinking of doing one of each of the following when my progress and joints allow:
- Fitness modeling competition
- Powerlifting meet
- Strongman content
- Olympic lifting meet
- MMA fight (**I'll seriously have to contemplate if this is worth it considering my joints)
- General modeling (like for Abercrombie and Fitch or other companies)
- Full Marathon
- Mile run
- 100m dash

Might as well be well rounded and have the most fun I can while getting my butt kicked against the cream of the crop :rainbowlaugh:. I already know my biggest weakness is in pushing strength (specifically pecs and triceps) since I wasn't even able to do a single push up pain-free until last September. But that just means I have to give those muscle groups extra attention later when I can.

Random rant below lol:

I HATE incels and how they've infected every part of the internet. Everywhere I go, whether it be MMA forums or a fan site for a show I like, threads about gender and getting laid are everywhere. I went to a MMA forum a few days ago, and it was filled with guys discussing what the best jawlines for getting laid are (and chewing gum to get a better jaw). Jawlines! What the actual fuck has gotten into people's heads, and how do I beat this out of them?

I see you used that one Sombra pic—

Lol I've been waiting to use it until I beat his number on that lift.

5524413

Yep. Why, does that excite you lol?

5524416

LOL. I fucking hate you :rainbowlaugh:

To be fair, it's a nearly 3500% increase from my strength last year.

Nothing other than the fact that I’ve also used this in a blog way back, (which you’ve probably seen.)

Sombra is my second favorite husbando btw. And I don’t need to say my first.

5524419

Your blog is actually where I first saw this pic. So congrats on giving me motivational fuel.

Also, your 2nd fav husbando now submits to me since I've beaten him.

I've heard high impact explosives do wonders for clearing out little packs of those basement dwellers.

I am slowly getting back into gym, had to start since through the entire of the last decade I went from 231lb to 191lb.
So I can become buffed as ol Sombra XD
