So I'm currently working on the next chapter of Bluebird, however, I've hit a point where I'm having difficulty getting it done. To put it simply, in the last chapter I set up Gallus signing up for tryouts in the Academy's buckball team and another club, so this chapter is meant to tell how the actual tryouts go.
The good news is that I know how it starts, how parts of it happen, and how it ends. The bad news is that there is a moment in the story after the buckball tryouts end where I'm not sure how to conclude it before the other tryouts begin. The original away I had in mind to conclude it felt too abrupt and I realised it contradicts a message I put in an earlier chapter. I could resolve it by extending the conclusion out a bit, but I worry that I'll need to split the story up, even if the second part will be really short.
The other alternative is to rewrite the conclusion, which would also take time to do. Also with restrictions being lifted, giving more reasons to get out of the house, my weekends won't be as free as they used to be, so the idea of weekly chapters is starting to become less likely.
So in conclusion, no new chapters of Bluebird this week, and I'll have to see what I can do if I can get one done next week. Sorry folks.
