Starlight is better written than Tempest in my opinion

I’m not going to make a lot of friends with this, but I think Starlight is a lot better written than Tempest is and I know it sounds unfair to compare a character who’s been around for four seasons to someone who made one movie appearance but since there is some debate out there with Tempest being seen as better written, I have no choice but to believe this is something that can be compared.

Animated Atrocities #5: All Bottled Up

I’ve been meaning to cover a StarTrix episode for quite some time now to show why I can’t ship them. I just couldn’t find a good stinker. Road To Friendship and Student Counsel were good episodes, To Change A Changeling was mainly focusing on four leads, and so it came down to this or Horse Shoe In, and ultimately this one was worse.

Animated Atrocities #3: Basic Straining(Total Drama Island)

I know people love this episode, but this is going to be a major unpopular opinion because I really don’t like it that much. And it all boils down to one simple factor, Duncan is a majorly unsympathetic prick and he’s the leading role today. Oh what joy./s

So let’s begin the episode shall we?

    Animated Atrocities #1: A Matter Of Principals(MLP)

    Animated Atrocities #1: A Matter Of Principals(MLP:FIM)

I noticed a certain trend in seasons eight and nine with Starlight in MLP. It’s not as bad as something like SpongeBob where they torment Squidward or the arbitrary ways the fairies lose their wands in the Fairly OddParents but it’s still a concern to me. Today, we’re going to go over the catalyst of this trend. A Matter Of Principals.

MLP: The Movie Review · 2:08am Apr 18th, 2021

Well this was a long time coming, just to be clear I like this movie it's a great piece of animation but it's not without it's flaws, and we'll get to those so let's talk about this movie and all of it's glory.

1. Characters: So let's talk about the characters Twilight and Pinkie Pie are at their best roles to date, the former learns to rely on her friends more despite their flaws and not to say very hurtful things, while the latter learned to take things a bit more seriously and to try and work things out with her friends instead of ABANDONING THEM, at least someone learned from abandoning Twilight, TWICE. Although to be fair this time it was a bit more justified as Pinkie was just hurt by Twilight's words and they did plan on going back for Twilight, while Twilight also said that in anger she never meant it now as for the rest, Spike was good but hardly there and I liked the scene where he comforted Twilight. Applejack and Fluttershy were okay but Rarity and Rainbow Dash oh goodness these two, while their interactions with Capper and Captain Celeano made me smile it was still a slog to watch them, the former kept acting like a drama queen and the latter was an egocentric nusiance, seriously why did she make a Rainboom it basically screamed "Hey we're here capture us." Now as for the newbies Capper was great I loved his scheming nature and his redemption, The pirates were okay, and I like Skystar, and Queen Novo didn't annoy me in fact I liked her, she was a very relatable character and her concerns were understandable. Tempest was a good villain and her redemption was okay but it could've been better, Grubber was hilarious, and the Storm King was a great villain.

2. Plot: The plot was awesome, I love the idea of The Mane 6 going on an adventure beyond Equestria, and the tension between Twilight and her friends was believable as she began to lose trust in them due to them slowing her down because as annoying as it was to see happen it did make a great contribution to the plot. As for the Mane 5 I really need to say this I really feel Twilight and the Mane 5 should've all apologized while Twilight learns to trust her friends, the Mane 5 learn to take things more seriously it was a missed opprotunity. I woud've also liked to see a subplot where a resistance is formed to take down the Storm King it could include side characters like Shining Armor, Starlight, Trixie, Sunburst, Big Mac, The CMC, and Zecora but given the runtime I see why that wouldn't fit into the plot so well. Regardless the plot was awesome.

In conclusion the movie was awesome and it really made me smile, and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did if not I respect your opinion.

I wanted to enjoy the movie fully, but with what the writers did to the Royal Sisters(especially Luna for me) in this once-in-a-lifetime thing really hindered that.

The animation was beautiful(especially the princesses there)

So what’d you think of Twilight and the Mane 5 in the movie?

Yeah that’s my problem with them in the movie they act like completely careless morons and while Twilight acted rash and did wrong too, I say her actions were justified due to how they were acting.

Honestly, I never really cared about the movie that much.
