I have been working, very incrementally, on the next chapter for this. I freely admit procrastination is a bit of a problem for me when it comes to writing, mlp or otherwise. I do know now what I'm going to do mostly with Chapter 3, but my problem at the moment is getting the motivation to work on it more than just 15 minute blocks every other day or so. (not all of which said blocks are actually spent writing but thinking out things). I have been reminded that while I enjoy the idea, harry potter is something of a mood thing for me. It waxes and wanes over time. Carpal tunnel being more obstinate of late doesn't help, but isn't the true roadblock :P
I maintain the goal of getting it done before the end of the month, and I might take this coming Sunday night as my day to go "Spend several hours working to hammer more of the chapter out."
This is also a good point to go ahead and let those tracking the story to know that its updates might wind up being sporadic. I don't intend to abandon this, but I think I can now say this is ultimately more of an experiment on my part to see if I can get things to where I want them to be and I can remain motivated enough to see it to either its full conclusion or a conclusion of some sort.
I wish I could say I was able to get myself to a point where I could have an update schedule for this, but the last time I tried such I failed miserably. And I've noticed that even if I can get something written by a deadline I myself impose, I'm not always as happy with it as I would otherwise be... even if its still something others enjoy. (and if I'd waited til I had a backlog I might not have ever wound up publishing anything :P)
