Where is Chapter 44? The Night's Stars Update · 9:35pm Mar 25th, 2021
It’s been a few weeks and I’ve not said anything, so many of you might be wondering where Chapter 44 is.
Chapter 44 is ready, aside from a last-minute edit sweep to check for typos, etc, or make last-minute changes. And it’s been ready for... A couple of weeks now. I think. I don’t remember for sure.
The short version is I’m holding off on publishing this chapter because Chapter 45 isn’t ready yet. I’ve not done edit passes of it/had feedback from my prereader to review. Chapter 44 and Chapter 45 are a Part 1 and Part 2, respectively, so that’s why I’m holding off on publishing Chapter 44. I don’t want there to be a drastic wait between these two chapters being published.
In the meantime, I’m continuing to draft new chapters, albeit at a somewhat slow pace. I have asked my prereader to review the chapters I have drafted for any oversights or issues he could spot regarding plotholes or things I’ve missed before I continue on, since I have concerns I’ve made a mistake somewhere, or have forgotten something, and that it could contribute to writing myself into a corner (or just being a nightmare to rewrite in order to fix). I don’t want problems to compound into bigger issues down the line. Maybe I’m being paranoid but it seems like a good idea to check this now, considering what’s happening down the line.
I don’t know when Chapter 44 will come out, or how long it will take to go over the drafted chapters/check for issues. If you have any questions, ask them below or leave a comment on the story and I will try to get back to you in a timely manner.
