Behind-the-page: Pinkie’s Pies · 9:15pm Mar 21st, 2021
Hiya, lovely peeps!
First off, this is officially the longest one-shot Iʼve ever written. Iʼm quite proud of it, so go read it before reading this blog post. And leave a comment, if possible.
Welcome to another one-shot of mine. The story idea came out of nowhere and I immediately got to typing. One thing led to another, and here ya go.
A few things:
- Mrs. Q is an OC of mine. Her name is actually Quill Meadows. She’s not developed enough, so I don’t think I’ll ever write about her.
- The part with Pinkie’s childhood and family is my own personal headcanon. It’s the explanation I find makes the most perfect sense.
- The idea to relate baking to life came from Jodi Picoult’s Handle with Care. It’s a great novel, sad and tear-jerking, but great nonetheless.
You may have noticed that this story belongs in a continuity. Well, it does. I’m creating a series of stories in which each of the Rainbooms, one at a time, do something they’ve never done before. I’ll write whenever the muse strikes me.
Enjoy my story and Iʼll see you next time!
